• Make sure that you have regular access to the basic equipment
necessary for an online course—preferably a home computer
with high-speed access to the Internet, a printer, and word
processing software.

reliable internet connection
• If your internet connection is unpredictable or
unreliable you may get “locked out” of tests or be
unable to submit assignments at the time they are due.
• Many online instructors will not allow students to
make up missed assignments or tests unless WTCC’s IT
group reports a system-wide Blackboard outage even if
students send a screen shot showing the on screen
error codes.
• NOTE: Wireless internet is not always a reliable and
predictable internet source. It is your responsibility to
make certain that you are using a solid internet
connection.
