Following the life of ambitious Gurukanth Desai
also called Guru Bhai on his rise to power as a
successful business magnate in late 50s India.
Through chance and cunning, Guru marries Sujata
for her dowry, only later to discover he really does
love her. Desai becomes a big-time player but his
business methods leave much to be desired, and
soon newspaper tycoon Gupta, an upright and
principled man, is determined to destroy Desai.
