HOW TIME MANAGEMENT CAN MAKE
ONE AN EFFICIENT PERSON?
Have you ever wondered how sure students manage to do so much in such little time? It doesn't seem
fair, does it? Even though we all have the same 24 hours, they are able to accomplish more than the rest
of us. And in the meantime, you are frantically attempting to complete just one of the numerous
assignments on your desk as your aggravation mounts. The key to completing your duties is to utilize
practical time management skills, which entail organizing and arranging your activities effectively. This will
increase your efficiency and boost your marks.
Time management is a crucial ability required for academic achievement. As a result of attending classes,
doing homework, and studying for tests, the lives of university students are exceedingly hectic and
stressful. In addition, they have their own daily routines and lifestyles, which must be balanced with
extracurricular activities. However, finding time for everything can be difficult and overwhelming. Here,
effective time management abilities come into play. Students are required to acquire this skill. In order to
be effective and more productive, they must take the appropriate steps and employ these methods.
Students with these skills are able to organize and prioritize upcoming assignments and events. This is
essential for keeping pupils organized and preventing procrastination, which ultimately leads to academic
achievement.
Time management will teach you how to complete homework in less time. You can apply Parkinson's Law
to your tasks and assignments, for instance. You will discover ways to combat procrastination. When
assigned a deadline that is weeks or months in the future, many students procrastinate and begin their
assignments later. However, when the deadline approaches, they wind up cramming and even staying up
all night. Learning time management will teach you how to prevent this problem. And you'll feel less
pressure when deadlines and exams approach.
A student's busy schedule can benefit significantly from time management. It guarantees that students
are well-prepared, organized, and focused on managing their everyday lives and completing assignments
on time. It can lead to increased success, but it is a talent that must be learned and practiced. Students
must alter their routines to develop practical time management abilities. This is only possible if students
take the initiative to recognize their concerns. Effectively prioritizing one's time contributes to the
development of time management abilities. This can be accomplished by establishing new personal goals
and attempting to achieve them with a fresh and improved mindset. Students must also abandon the
practice of procrastination. Students should learn how to work intelligently by not overworking and
retaining nothing. Occasionally, pupils must study for a few hours and then take a break to clear their
heads. When feelings of frustration arise, it is advisable to take a break. Too much information causes
information overload, which the brain cannot process simultaneously. If pupils are motivated and diligent,
practice will improve their time management skills.
Here are some time management suggestions for students to help them
manage their time and resources
1. Make Creating a Priority.
Do not let your life's passion take second place! Without power, we have nothing—scheduled blocks of
time for creating on your calendar. Believe me when I say it is entirely worthwhile. Instead of attempting to
fit in creative time wherever possible, why not structure your more extensive plan around what you enjoy
most? Determine the time of day when you are most creative and productive, and plan accordingly. If you
have multiple creative activities to complete, you may want to explore using the Pomodoro technique to
manage your time with a timer properly. Ten or twenty-five-minute blocks can help you stay on track!
2. Abandon Guilt
Consider the benefits creativity brings to the rest of your life if the preceding seems self-indulgent.
Consider your creative outlets essential for relieving stress, solitude's therapeutic benefits, and personal
fulfillment. After doing so, you will find it easy to make time for the things and people you cherish.
Meditation is highly effective for this. With a clear head, you will discover studying much more
straightforward, and you may even retain more of what you have read.
3. Benefit from Your Tendencies
When do you feel the most creative? Record your mood and energy levels throughout the course of the
day. Note the times when you feel most creative and drawn to hands-on art activities, as well as when you
feel like your mind could handle studying. In this manner, you can maximize the utilization of that time.
The same method can be used to determine when you are most productive for achieving your daily goals.
4. Establish a Routine
Once you have identified when you are most creative and when you can retain the most knowledge, it is
time to get down to business.
Construct a daily routine that optimizes your peak creative windows, and try your best to adhere to it. (A
fantastic mindfulness method) Develop the habit of doing something creative every day, even if you have
a few minutes. This keeps your mood boosted and increases your chances of recalling information
significantly. For instance, you may knit a few rows over lunch or draw throughout your commute.
Therefore, even on days when you cannot commit to a more extensive schedule, your creative activity still
occupies a portion of your day.
5. Take initiative
Psychologists refer to the phenomenon known as "reactive workflow" as a prevalent concern among
workers in the present day. Most of our working hours and energy are devoted to responding to external
stimuli. Instead of on initiatives we consciously set out to complete because they are essential to us. In
"Beware Reactionary Workflow" from the website 99U, the founder of Behance, Scott Belsky, writes,
"Rather than being proactive with our energy, we are responding to incoming events." Dr. LeeAnn
Renninger suggests being conscious of how you operate during the day. The director of LifeLabs
advocates pausing every day for five minutes. Ask yourself, "Am I currently acting proactively or
reactively?" Then, take modest steps and commit more time to the proactive job that will bring you greater
satisfaction.
6. Get Rid of Distractions
Rapid access to knowledge and continual social sharing makes it easy to become overwhelmed in the
modern era. In his book Manage Your Day, Belsky argues, "Creative minds are susceptible to the buzz
and hum of the outside world." "Finding a centered space for creation becomes increasingly challenging
as these intense demands pull us in every direction." Consider removing your computer or other digital
devices from your office if you get lost in an internet black hole. Before beginning, complete any tasks that
could interfere with your planned creative time. Other functions that you are less interested in should be
streamlined and delayed. This implies you will have more time and energy for creative pursuits.
Implement Trello!
7. Accept the fact that being creative is not always simple
Like any occupation, creating art is arduous. You may feel less disheartened on tough days if you don't
anticipate it to be easy. Lisa states, "I have to push myself, bury my head, and go to work." "It's not
always simple, but completing new work feels fantastic."
8. Allow Yourself Some Leeway
Once you've discovered an effective regimen, you can release the reins a bit. Janet Hill, the owner of
Janet Hill Studio, states that she no longer pushes herself to the limit. "If I'm having a horrible day
creatively, I do something else and come back to it the next day with a clear head," she explains.
Structure and time management are essential to productivity, but so is the act of letting your mind wander
creatively.
9. Confront Your Fears
If you take these procedures and cannot prioritize your creative and study time, you should consider what
else may impede your progress.
Perhaps fear rather than a lack of time is holding you back. Aversion to failure? What about success
phobia? Face your fear head-on and get to the bottom of it to pave the way to greater creative fulfillment.
10. Honor Your Creative Work
Consider your originality and labor results to be your most valuable assets. If you consider your creativity
your lifeblood, you will begin to view it as a source of energy for all you do.
Therefore, students' time management is only as effective as their planning. We all want to complete
more work, spend more time with friends, and, of course, have more time to enjoy ourselves. All of this is
doable if you follow the time management skills suggested in this article: keep a journal, work efficiently
by planning, and get adequate rest. Follow these ideas, and you will not only excel in school, but you will
also find time to relax and have fun. If you learn to plan effectively, juggling schoolwork and extracurricular
activities aren't all that difficult. Time management is not only an essential ability for working adults but
also students. An adage states, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull kid." If you want to enjoy
whatever you are doing, you must begin controlling your time immediately.
