1. Finding Black Owned Goods: Our Passion

Thank you for signing up to receive notifications from Shop With Leslie. Our goal in having this
blog is to make it convenient to find products that work for you from black owned brands. We
post at least twice a month on where to find specific goods. In one of our posts for October the
theme was "Rock your color with non traditional makeup looks." Here we focused on where you
could find glitter and loose pigments, as well as alternative lipsticks by color ( black, blue, green,
yellow or gold, and silver or white). In a second post, we focused on where to find crown and
head jewelry. Halloween and the holidays were our inspiration for these posts.
Our site includes an A - Z directory such that you can browse through black owned brands by
type (e.g., cosmetics, clothing, bath and beauty) and find great products. Though our focus is on
online shopping we understand that many people like to shop locally. Some businesses on the
site indicate brick and mortar locations of where their products are available. Also, in our post for
Juneteenth, we listed several resources for finding local black businesses. Most are apps
whereby you can find businesses near you while in transit, or search by location. I love
technology!
