• The UAE Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI) is a landmark initiative to bring together
artists, architects, scientists, and engineers in a first of its kind collaboration.

• The goal of the Land Art Generator Initiative is to design and construct a series of land art
installations across the UAE that uniquely combine aesthetic intrigue with clean energy
generation.


US State Incentives - Massachusetts

Massachusetts Commonwealth Solar

• Commonwealth Solar II, offered by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (CEC) provides
rebates for the installation of grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) systems at residential, commercial,
industrial, institutional and public facilities.

• Rebate amounts are based on the total PV system size per building, regardless of the
number of electric meters in use and certain other characteristics of the project.


Sacramento Feed-in Tariff

Sacramento Municipal Utility District:
Feed-in Tariff

• Geographic Focus: Sacramento, CA

• Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) offers a feed-in tariff for combined heat
and power (CHP) and various renewable energy technologies. Every renewable energy
technology that can be used to satisfy California's renewables portfolio standard is eligible for
the feed-in tariff.

• Unlike the feed-in tariffs offered by some European countries, which have a single fixed rate,
SMUD's feed-in tariff varies by time of day, season, length of contract and production year.


US State Incentives - Massachusetts

CEC Commonwealth Solar Stimulus

• Grant Type: Loans
• Amount: $3.3million max incentive

• The Edison Innovation Clean Energy Manufacturing Fund (CEMF) is intended to provide
assistance for the manufacturing of energy efficient and renewable energy products
that will assist Class I renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies in becoming
competitive with traditional sources of electric generation.

• The total amount of available funding is capped at a maximum of $3.3 million per project.
A minimum 50% cash match of total project costs is required to be from non-state derived
matching funds.

• Geographic Focus: Italy / International

• GC is looking for innovative solutions and products to enhance the performance of its LED-based
product line and extend its functional application to a wider range of fittings.

• Win $10,000 cash award for submitting solutions that will allow GC to meet the required
illumination coefficients and to expand its Green Lighting fittings to motorways, urban
areas, sports installations and other public areas.

Concepts for CO2 Project Sourcing

• Amount: $5,000 / $500 referral fee
• Geographic Focus: Developing Countries
• Deadline: 10th March 2010

• Myclimate, The Climate Protection Partnership, is looking for innovative approaches to secure and
expand the sourcing of carbon offsetting projects.

Win $5,000 for submitting the most compelling concept for myclimate to find and approach
Cleantech companies, technology providers and other organizations that apply and implement
CO2-reducing technologies and initiatives in developing countries, mainly in the field of
renewable energy and energy efficiency.



University CleanTech Challenge

• Amount: £5,000
• Geographic Focus: Europe
• Deadline: 21st February 2010 (Phase 1)

• The CleanTech Challenge is a student competition jointly hosted by London Business School
and University College London where students from top European business and engineering
schools compete in cross-functional teams. The challenge is to develop innovative clean technology
