Un algoritmo è stato utilizzato negli Stati
Uniti per predire la probabilità di
recidivismo nei comportamenti criminali.
Il modello ha predetto una probabilità
doppia (45%) nei soggetti afroamericani,
rispetto al resto della popolazione (23%)
Nel 2015, in Amazon, fu trovato che un
algoritmo faceva preferenze per le
assunzioni maschili.
La causa di questo errore etico è stata
identificata nei dati di allenamento del
modello, perché nel passato le donne
mandavano molte meno richieste rispetto
agli uomini.
