communication is a key element for innovation efforts today.
What is innovation?
PWC report: ”Two-thirds of the most innovative companies
say innovation is a competitive necessity compared with
19% among the least innovative” – If you do not move
forward, you move backwards.
Why is innovation
important?
What is usual? What is the new normal? The only constant
is change and it comes much faster than ever before.
Why can’t we stick to
business as usual?
"I'm an American, I'm happy to be an
American," he says. "But anybody who
thinks the Americans are going to be on
top of the heap 100 years from now is an
idiot. The only question is whether it will be
China or India. Now, whether it's a nation
like the United States or whether it's a
company, the odds of sustaining it are not
high.
"Point No. 2 is that companies that Jim
calls great have performed well. I wouldn't
deny that for a minute but they haven't led
anybody anywhere. I don't give a damn
whether Microsoft is around 50 years from
now. Microsoft set the agenda in the
world's most important industry at a critical
period of time, and that to me is leadership,
not the fact that you are able to stay alive
until your beard is 200 feet long."
