     Pr ofessional Experience
Texas Surveys / EDG Consulting Engineers
Participated as a contract photogrammetrist on a turbine located in Brunei.
Collected 120 photographs from outside and inside the turbine. Analyzed all
photography using PhotoModeler 2011 within 10 days of collection with the
average RMS of 1 mm. As built 20 pigtail lines with the connecting flanges as per
initial scope and follow on with 4 and 6 inch gas distribution lines. Points were
collected in PhotoModeler exported to AutoCad and modeling was finished in
Cyclone. Final deliverable was AutoCad 2010.

Marathon / EDG Consulting Engineers
Project manager / team lead to add additional imagery a Petroleum processing
unit located at Punta Europa in Equatorial Guinea. The additional imagery was
collected in new areas of scope and before / after details. Conducted new
scanning of two offshore platforms with a connecting bridge. 500+ scans were
registered onsite. Supported drafting and engineering with Structural / Pipe
modeling that were not represented in 2D as-built drawings.

Bayfield Energy / EDG Consulting Engineers
Project manager / team lead to image 4 platforms and onshore tank farm located
Trinidad. Conducted over 500 high density scans of the facilities with HDS 6100
scanner in one field trip. Data was registered onsite and Truviews were issued
upon to the US. Supported drafting and engineering with structural analysis and
clash detection. Modeled existing well heads and routed new well heads to avoid
excessive cutting to the platforms.

Rick Engineering / EDG Consulting Engineers
Contract laser registration specialist of data collected externally. Registered 200+
scans in Cyclone 6.0.4. Follow on work included 400 additional scans.

Texas Surveys / EDG Consulting Engineers
Participated as a contract photogrammetrist on the Hale Boggs Bridge,
Louisiana. Collected 280 photographs from 280 ft elevations and ground stays in
2 days. Analyzed all photography using PhotoModeler 6 within 7 days of
collection with the average RMS of .3 mm. Modeled cable / plate intersection and
center point of bolts locations for verification.

Marathon / EDG Consulting Engineers
Project manager / team lead to image a Petroleum processing unit located at

the facility with HDS 4500 scanner in one field trip. Data was registered onsite
and Truviews were issued upon to the US. Supported drafting and engineering

CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT / EDG Consulting Engineers
Forensic scanning of an accident site. Conducted 60 high density scans of the
facility with HDS 6000 scanner in two field trips. Data was registered onsite and
Truviews were issued in two days. Performed three loop closures for a RMS
error of 2.6 mm.

Inovx / EDG Consulting Engineers
Contracted team lead for onshore tank farm in Southern California. Surveyed and
processed Leica 4500 scan data into LFM Registration software. Averaged 35
scans per day all tied to survey.

Inovx / EDG Consulting Engineers
Contracted team lead for onshore retired FCC unit. Finished scanning and
survey work (up to 250’) in 19 days. Trained new field hands in survey and
registration procedures during regular work hours. All scans registered to survey
in LFM register and QC’d data before team left site.

Poyry / EDG Consulting Engineers
Contracted team lead for revamp of chlorine plant. Surveyed and scanned in
Arctic winter-like weather for 15 day. Compiled 400 +scans and published
Truviews in 6 days of registration. Combined survey, vertex to vertex and cloud
to cloud registrations into one database with an overall RMS of 4 millimeters.
Trained 4 new designers in 3D Plantlinx software and assumed the role of
database manager.

Chevron / EDG Consulting Engineers
Project manager for laser scanning of platform in the Gulf of Mexico. Platform
was scheduled for refit and repair from Hurricane Katrina. Model was constructed
of the boat landing and below cellar deck in less than 3 weeks.
Inovx / EDG Consulting Engineers
Contracted team lead for offshore platform during an unscheduled shutdown.
Performed 27 scans in 10 hours. Data was registered and reviewed with client
present before leaving platform.

Inovx / EDG Consulting Engineers
Contracted team lead and site manager for plant relocation. Surveyed facility
sometimes using two survey instruments at once to speed data collection of
elevated structures. Assisted for 21 days of scanning / survey during the day and
performed analytics during evening hours.

BP / EDG Consulting Engineers
Managed sonar modeling project for platforms destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
Modeling was based on multi-beam sonar data, ROV videos and 2D drawings.
Objective was to build 3D models of the downed facilities that would then be
used to generate visual work plans for divers and ROV operators who would
disassemble the facilities piece by piece so the wells could be permanently
abandoned. 3D Data was also converted for use by ROV navigation systems to
ensure ROV survivability. 10 platforms were modeled / delivered in 4 months.

Chevron / EDG Consulting Engineers
Project Manager for laser scanning 5 offshore platforms in West Africa.
Subsequently QA’ed all data from Africa projects, correcting registration errors
and accelerated the data stream into EDG drafting for clash detections. Assisted
other EDG offices with technical support for 3D modeling.
BP / EDG Consulting Engineers
Project lead for a “virtual engineering” project involving a damaged platform in
the Gulf of Mexico. The facility was surveyed and laser scanned. The 3D data
provided the As-Is foundation for engineering analysis of the 15 degree
compound tilt of the facility. The damaged platform was then modeled and 2D
design drawings were added to the model to verify spatial relationship of the new
adjacent support platform. 3 major clashes were found and resolved before field
construction / installation was commenced, resulting in a savings of over $5MM
as defined by the client.
Inovx / EDG Consulting Engineers
Contracted team lead and site manager for plant retrofit of a brewery to an
ethanol production facility. 500 survey shots and 110 scans in 5 days.
Chevron / EDG Consulting Engineers
Team lead on 4 offshore platforms in West Africa. Laser scan data was compiled,
registered and delivered to the client’s prime contractor on time and under
budget.
IQA Solutions / Summit Engineering / EDG Consulting Engineers
Team lead of scan team on FCC unit. Covered 850 feet of pipe rack and main
structure under unit in four days with 250 survey shots and 63 scans. Trained
support staff to operate the equipment and software. Continued to provide project
support post-demobilization via internet to complete subsequent additional
scope.
Chevron / EDG Consulting Engineers
Team lead for laser scanning on North Nemba platform in West Africa for 7 days
using a Cyra 2500. Scan data was compiled, registered and delivered to the
client in Houston on time and within budget.
Chevron / EDG Consulting Engineers
Team lead for laser scanning project on South Nemba platform in West Africa for
32 days using a Cyra 2500. Scan data was compiled and registered on location.
The team worked with the design engineer in-country to build tie-in components
and construct conceptual design. Project was completed on time, within budget.

Chevron / EDG Consulting Engineers
Support staff on laser scanning project in West Africa to collect 3D data on 11
offshore platforms over 65 days using a Cyra 2500. Laser data was compiled
using cloud-to-cloud registration.
INOVx Solutions
Field support for scanning project on an operational process unit. A Cyra 2500
was used (20 scans) and supplemented with photogrammetry. Processed all
data in 16 hours and delivered to client.
INOVx Solutions
Field team lead on a non-operational furnace to map 72 bolt locations using a
Cyra 2500 (16 scans) with supplemental photogrammetry. Laser data was
compiled into regions for easier access. Assisted the client with specific modeling
on request.
Marathon Engineers / INOVx Solutions
Field team lead on project to scan an operational paper machine, with associated
piping and load bearing structure using a Cyra 2500 (300+ scans) with
supplemental photogrammetry. Laser data was compiled into regions for easier
access. Assisted the client with specific modeling on request.
CDI Engineers / INOVx Solutions
Field team lead on project to scan an operational facility. Performed work in a
very hazardous environment without incident or loss of capital equipment.
Provided survey and photogrammetry support on 72 tie-in points in 2 days.
Proctor & Gamble / Lockwood Greene
Field team lead on pilot project for P&G. Multiple floors were scanned and
photographed to build a 3D PDS model. Model was initially delivered in
MicroStation. This was the largest scanning project to-date performed in Mexico
(105 scans).
Otepi Engineers / INOVx Solutions
Field team lead on the scanning and photogrammetry portion of a consortium
project to revamp of an FCC unit in a petroleum plant. Specified areas were
collected, solely using photogrammetry for high accuracy and fewer critical areas
were scanned. Coordinated model construction between two offices and three
team members. FCC unit was modeled down to two-inch lines.

Veco Engineers / INOVx Solutions
Field team lead on an operational hydrofluoric acid facility. Performed work in a
very hazardous environment without incident or loss of capital equipment. The
client saved 2,000 man-hours on a facility revamp without exposing personnel to
the hazardous environment. Laser data was compiled into regions for easier data
manipulation.
Shell / Fluor Daniel / INOVx Solutions
Field team lead collecting 3D data on two subsequent field trips. The client
required 1 / 8th inch accuracy to mate 72" stub vacuum lines and spools to new
structure and associated piping. All elements were milled and welded without any
excessive grinding or fill.
Dow Chemical / INOVx Solutions
Lead surveyor on process chlorine plant. The client required 1 / 8 inch accuracy
for replacing stainless steel pipe with exotic alloy pipe. Model was built using
photogrammetry for high accuracy and overall scans for obstructions.
MicroStation model was delivered within a week of returning from the field.
Syncrude / Fluor Daniel / INOVx Solutions
Lead surveyor on four different process units. Placed control survey for three
other field collection teams enabling the crews to start the following day without
wasting time placing control and ensuring that all teams had the same survey
data sets. Provided scanning and photogrammetry support once the primary task
was completed. All four units were finished in two weeks.
Six Flags / INOVx Solutions
Field team member collecting data on a roller coaster. Using the Cyrax 2500
scanner and 80 photo pairs, the model was constructed and delivered within 10
days. All data was collected in one day due to the park schedule.
Chevron / Fluor Daniel / INOVx Solutions
Field team lead for one out of three teams. Primary task was collecting data at
extreme height (380 + feet) safely and efficiently. After primary task was
completed, lead another team to finish coker unit in two weeks.
Chevron / Fluor Daniel / INOVx Solutions
Field team lead on subsequent change order to collect more data in additional
areas. Used survey control from a previous trip to save one day of effort.
Collected the two additional areas in 5 days with a three-man crew. Tie-in points
were collected 80 feet above grade to 1 / 8th inch accuracy.

Equilon / Fluor Daniel / INOVx Solutions
Supported two independent field teams as a floater. Assisted one team with
survey and the other team with photogrammetry. Very tight schedule as
environmental deadlines were closing.
Air Products / INOVx Solutions
Supported team lead with survey, photogrammetry and Cyra 2400 laser scanner
in a tungsten hexafluoride unit. Work was conducted over 5 days and 20 days of
modeling.
TechnoConsult / INOVx Solutions
Field team lead on pilot project to prove technology to owner / operator PDVSA.
Project was successful with a follow on project encompassing entire FCC unit
and 8 additional areas to the project.
Proctor & Gamble / Fluor Daniel
Provided detailed 3D model for revamp project using newer Magan NT data
collection software. Model was delivered in MicroStation and provided client with
as-built data for clash detection and structural locations.
Syncrude / Fluor Daniel
Field team member responsible for surveying photo control targets and
dimensional control. Completed two units with photogrammetry. Constructed
detailed model in 3 weeks. Worked in arctic conditions for two weeks.
Celanese Hoest / Fluor Daniel
Provided service and support for as-built documentation of an operating Acrylic
Acid Unit. The 3D model was used to determine the locations of multiple tie-in
points for new equipment and flanges. Also, provided interference detection for
the routing of new stainless steel piping. The project included the use of Cyrax
2400 scanning unit for long-range data acquisition and modeling.
Proctor & Gamble / Fluor Daniel
Participated in the as building of a dry laundry soap facility. Data was collected
for a rapid revamp / expansion of the existing structure, associated pipe racks
and glass pipe. Permanent survey plates were installed to speed follow-on site
visits and aid newer laser scanning registration. This project required two three-
week visits to complete data setup and capture. The project included the use of
Cyrax 2400 scanning unit for long-range data acquisition and modeling.

Proctor & Gamble / Fluor Daniel
Completed final fields visit to coffee facility to verify survey and completeness of
the 3D data capture. The model was used for expansion purposes and
interference detection of large bore vacuum piping. The survey was tied to
ground points and transferred up to the top of the unit (120 feet) inside the
operating hopper levels. 3D model was cut into individual floors to ensure easier
handling of data.
Newmont Gold / Kvaerner Metals
Furnished client as-built data of a steel structure used to crush gold ore for
extraction. The 3D model was delivered in MicroStation for the purpose of
studying the structural integrity of the existing unit and predicting load failure.
More than 1500 pieces of steel where surveyed for exact location.
Chevron / Bechtel / Merrick Engineers
Participated as field team photogrammetrist, operating large / medium format
cameras. Project included three two-week site visits over a two-month period.
After the site work was completed, filled an analytics and modeling position for
3D MicroStation model. At the time, it was the largest modeling project using
close range photogrammetry.
Air Products / Merrick Engineers
Performed field support functions with photography and follow on analytics
support.
Proctor & Gamble / Lockwood Greene
Performed photography and analytic support of a consumer product unit. Very
high-density stainless steel small-bore, sanitary piping. Facility was operational
throughout data collection and maintained high state cleanliness to conform to
USDA standards.
Chevron / Stone & Webster
Ethylene Plant Expansion Project. Provided field support with large format
cameras, performed analytics for one of the largest visual data base projects
using close range photogrammetry (18,000 + photos).
Proctor & Gamble / Lockwood Greene
Provided follow on data to a previous project to verify survey data and fulfill a
change order.

Tri-State Power / Merrick Engineers
Field team member for coal fired power generators. Performed measurements
around the operations schedule to maintain high accuracy survey and
photogrammetry. This model was provided in MicroStation for volume and
locations of main structural steel.
BASF / Merrick Engineers
Performed fieldwork in support of equipment relocation project. Data was used to
reconstruct facility after equipment and piping were moved to another country.
Data was also used by civil engineers to pre-build concrete pads before
equipment arrived.
Martin Marietta Energy Systems / Merrick Engineers
The DOE project was performed with less field time and modeling than earlier
projects due to aggressive field procedure changes. Model was used to generate
robotic simulations with IGRIP / TGRIP integration.
Idaho National Energy Laboratory / Merrick Engineers
This was the final field visit to the CPP604 facility. Successfully completed data
capture without any capital equipment losses or excessive radiation doses.
Lockheed / Merrick Engineers
Supported the proposal team with general photography and engineers with
photogrammetry of a retired processing unit. Building was later revamped for
hazardous material handling and disposal.
Los Alamos National Laboratory / Merrick Engineers
Performed tasks under strict security for material analysis. Office analysis
conformed to DOE procedures for working on nuclear information.
Los Alamos National Laboratory / Merrick Engineers
Field team member collecting data on buildings scheduled for demolition.
Information was used for material analysis and volumetric calculations of
hazardous material.

The facility was surveyed and laser scanned. The 3D data provided the As-Is foundation for engineering analysis of the 15 degree compound tilt of the facility. The damaged platform was then modeled and 2D design drawings were added to the model to verify spatial relationship of the new adjacent support platform. 3 major clashes were found and resolved before field construction / installation was commenced, resulting in a savings of over $5MM as defined by the client. Newmont Gold / Kvaerner Metals Furnished client as-built data of a steel structure used to crush gold ore for extraction. The 3D model was delivered in MicroStation for the purpose of studying the structural integrity of the existing unit and predicting load failure.
