  22. 22. Introduction <br />Grooming can be defined as the art of presenting oneself at his or her best. The way a person grooms speaks a lot about his or her personality and attitude. Grooming does not mean only wearing the right attire but also taking care of his or her health, skin, hair and so on and its important anywhere and anytime.<br />Grooming consists of 2 aspects:<br />1)Metaphysical aspect<br />2)Physical aspect<br />

IMPORTANCE OF GROOMING<br />Grooming is important because it makes a person feel good about oneself, he or she feels confident as a result perform better and deliver the best.<br />It is also known that a well groomed person is always remembered even after meeting him or her only once.<br />Always look good you will feel good. <br />

  25. 25. HAIR<br />Hair is a filamentous biomaterial , that grows from follicles found in the dermis. Most common interest in hair is focused on hair growth , hair types and hair care.<br />TYPES OF HAIR<br /><ul><li>Dry hair

  27. 27. Combination hair </li></li></ul><li>MY HAIR type<br />I have straight, long and oily hair.<br /> This is due to the over secretion <br />of oil. Hence the scalp and hair<br /> gets too oily. Oily hair is easily <br /> recognizable. It looks greasy <br />even after shampooing and <br />attracts more dirt.  <br />
  28. 28. MY HAIR CARE REGIME<br />I nourish my hair using many things , they are :<br /><ul><li>I use Parachute Jasmine hair oil 20 mins before having shower.
  29. 29. I use Dove shampoo and take shower thrice a week.
  30. 30. I also use Dove conditioner daily as it gives , shine and protects my hair from the pollution.
  31. 31. I keep my hair at a length and style at which I can maintain it.</li></li></ul><li>skin<br /> Skin is one of the visible outer part of human body , which plays a very important role. It is necessary to understand the nature of the skin to give it the proper care it needs. Using the right products for the skin, can keep the complexion fresh and clean. Knowing the type and texture of your skin is important for choosing the right products for your skin.  <br />

Skin consists of 3 layers:<br />Epidermis : The outer layer having no blood vessels and nerve endings.<br />Dermis : The layer below Epidermis with elastic fiber.<br />Hypodermis : The layer below the dermis with fatty connective tissue , with high H2O content. <br />TYPES OF SKIN<br />There are 5 different types of skin:<br />Normal skin<br />Dry skin<br />Oily skin<br />Combination skin<br />Sensitive skin<br />
  33. 33. My skin type<br />I have combination skin with fair complexion. That is the T-ZONE across my forehead and down my nose and chin are oily and rest other parts are dry. The T-ZONE is highly prone to black heads, white heads etc..<br />
  34. 34. MY SKIN CARE ESSENTIALS<br /><ul><li>I feed and nourish my skin with proper food.
  35. 35. I drink minimum 8 glasses of water in a day.
  36. 36. I wash my face with lukewarm water.
  37. 37. Daily I follow the routine of cleansing , toning and moisturizing using Olay products.
  38. 38. Before going to bed without fail I wash my face as I want my skin to breathe at night.
  39. 39. Morning I apply aloe Vera gel on my face and hands for 30 minutes and the wash with cold water without using soap.
  40. 40. Then I apply sunscreen lotion with SPF 60, 20 minutes prior going out in the sunlight.
  41. 41. I use Olay lightening cream with SPF 25, to protect my skin from sunlight even if I am indoors.
  42. 42. I steam my face and use fruit face pack once a week.

I scrub my face with L'Oreal pearl white twice a week.</li></li></ul><li>MY BMI<br />BMI means Body , Mass , Index .<br />My weight is = 62 kg<br />My height is = 161 cms<br /> 62 = 24<br />1.61*1.61<br /> My BMI is 24 .<br /> My ideal expected weight is 63 kg .<br /> I will still have to reduce 2kgs to look perfect, by following proper exercise and healthy diet .<br /> I have stopped eating chocolates and ice-creams.<br /> I have also stopped eating oily and fried food.<br /> I have stopped eating junk food as well as avoid intake of aerated drinks such as Pepsi , fanta etc..<br /> I have started eating nutritious and steamed food.<br /> I eat a lot of brown bread and healthy home made food.<br /> I exercise a lot as I have to reduce my weight.<br />
  44. 44. MY EXERCISE REGIME<br />Physical exercise Exercise is any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness. It is performed for various reasons including strengthening muscles and the cardiovascular, honing athletic skills, weight loss or maintenance, as well as for the purpose of enjoyment. <br />
  45. 45. Exercise makes the body fit and gives cuts and shape to the body.<br />I drink 1 glass of hot water with 1 tea spoon honey and half lemon squeezed in it before workout. As I have to reduce my weight I concentrate more on the exercises like:<br />Brisk walking and Cardio.<br />2. Aerobics to keep my mind relaxed. <br />3. I workout on abs slimming.<br />4. I Exercise on gym ball to tone my body. <br />

MY DIET SAMPLE<br />BREAKFAST 6:30am : 1 bowl Kellogg's with<br /> skimmed milk,1 glass <br /> of beetroot and carrot<br /> juice and 1 glass of water.<br />LUNCH 2:00pm : 2 Bread sandwich <br /> with steamed potato<br /> stuffed in it and 2 glass<br /> of water and 1 glass of juice.<br />
  47. 47. SNACKS 5:00pm : Fruit Salad and 2 glass of<br /> water .<br />DINNER 7:00pm : 1 chapatti with honey,1 <br /> bowl vegetable salad and <br /> 2 glass of water.<br />

MY DO’S<br />MY DON’TS<br />I drink minimum 8 glass of water.<br />I drink water when I am hungry if still I feel hungry I eat raw vegetable salad.<br />I sleep 8 hrs daily.<br />I exercise daily.<br />I always clean my eye make up with coconut oil.<br />I don’t leave any residue on my face before going to bed.<br />I don’t smoke or drink alcohol. <br />I avoid hot shower and scrubbing.<br />I avoid too cold and too hot water to wash my face.<br />
  49. 49. BASIC HYGIENE<br />Proper hygiene is very important, especially if you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle and good impression. Here are basic tips which I follow to stay clean and maintain proper hygiene.<br /><ul><li>I brush my teeth and have bath twice a day.
  50. 50. I rinse my mouth well after every meal with Listerine mouth wash.
  51. 51. I always carry after mint with me.
  52. 52. I use a good body spray and deo roll on daily.
  53. 53. I use Blue lady perfume.
  54. 54. I keep my nails short along their shape and keep it clean.
  55. 55. I use a hand sanitizer to clean my hand whenever needed.
  56. 56. I wash my bed sheet twice a week and sterilize my comb and make up brushes once a month.

I wash my towel daily and wear ironed clothes.</li></li></ul><li>WHY DO I THINK ITS IMPORTANT TO LOOK PROFESSIONAL IN AN INTERVIEW<br />According to me, ”first impression is the last impression. Always opportunities never knock the door” <br />It is always important to have right impression in front of the interviewers as it’s the best impression.<br />I should know the maximum about the company I am interviewed for.<br />If I have a professional look the interviewer will respect me.<br />Once I am dressed up professionally and well spoken the interviewer should think I am eligible for the job.<br />I would never give the interviewer a second chance to think and select me.<br />
