COOPERATIVE SOCITY
Introduction:
Cooperation has its origin in the last quarter of 19 th century attempts to
provide to relief to the farmers from culches of moneylenders.
It established on July 8,1905.the kanajinahal cooprarative society launched
the cooperative movement in the Karnataka state.
Robert Owen is the founder of cooperative society.
Meaning
A cooperative society is a voluntary association that started with
the aim Of the service of its members. It is a form of business
where individual belonging to the same class join their hands for
the promotion of their Common goals.
Ex: amul ,shree mahila gruha udyogh(lijath papad) ,Indian
farmers fertilizers cooperative.
Types of cooperatives:
 Consumers cooperative
 Retail cooperative
 Housing cooperative
 Utility cooperative
 Community cooperative
 Worker cooperative
 Multi stakeholders cooparative

Co-Operative Societies Have A Lot Of Objectives:
 To provide support and services to the members of the society
and not to earn the profit
 To help each other mutually and not to have competition
 To practice fair and transparent business activities
 To deliver the quality goods and produce to the end
customers
.
Conclusion:
 According to the cooperative principles, Cooperatives are
formed to satisfy the needs of their members. They are
voluntary, autonomous, self-help democratic organizations
owned and controlled by their members.
