Marie shoots the delivery
guy PLOT Convinced there is a
bad man lurking around her
house, Marie (Betsy Brandt) opens
fire on a UPS guy by mistake.
(Yes, the gun would be purple.)
The idea stemmed from Brandt’s
desire to shoot someone on the
show. “We loved it, we didn’t
know what it meant, we didn’t
know where it would go,” says
Gilligan. “When Betsy reads
this, she’s going to be upset with
me: ‘Why didn’t I get to do
that?’ ” WHY IT WAS REJECTED It
felt a little too broad and silly. And
as Hutchison notes, “Hank would
have to get her out of it and that
definitely pushed it.”

Xavier McAfee, 29, faced charges of stealing a script from one of the most heavily guarded
and most-anticipated story lines of the television season. McAfee is accused of breaking
into Cranston's Audi and taking among other things, a script to the popular and secretive
show.
When KOAT contacted Sony Pictures in Los Angeles about the missing script, they said as far
as they knew no scripts were stolen, and they are not concerned that any confidential
information about the show has been compromised.

Mike Was Last-Minute Character:
“Jane's death was supposed to be covered up by Saul Goodman, but actor Bob Odenkirk
was unavailable to film those scenes due to prior commitments: "So very quickly we came
up with the character of Mike the cleaner. It was one of those happy accidents.’”

9. Michael Bowen: Deadly serious, quiet-types of people? I’ve met a few of
those. I’m not saying names; I grew up in San Francisco and it’s obviously
quite different, but I was surrounded by a lot of interesting characters —
revolutionary-type people. For this Jack character I had to do some stuff to
learn about how someone gets to this state, being a calculated sociopath.

I was thinking about Richard Kuklinski, who they called “The Iceman.” He was a contract killer on the East Coast for the mob, meanwhile he was maintaining an entirely upper middle class, family life, with children, a wife, and a home. And if you watch, “The Iceman Tapes”, which you can find on YouTube, Richard Kuklinkski has this kind of quiet confidence. And a lot of the inspiration I got for the character was from him. It’s not about miming the guy per se, but it was about absorbing this calm, frighteningly matter-of-fact air he has when describing horribly vicious things.
This shot of Walter racing to the car wash to fetch his frozen gun from the bottom of the Coke machine was trickier than it looks. "No one thought I could do this shot,” MihaelSlovis said with understandable pride. "We still see Skyler on the right hand side of the frame. We see Walt drive up really fast. That was a stunt man driving, because he had to drive up and accurately stop. We did the old switcheroo on that. If you notice, when Walt gets out of the car he goes behind a column. So the stunt man goes behind a column and Bryan comes out the other side. It was the only way we could get it. Bryan comes in all tired and composes himself at the door. It’s hysterical!"
Speaking to ShortList, he said: "It was this serious moment, I'm talking to him and I hear everyone laughing outside of the set and I'm like, 'Why is everyone laughing?' "Then I realise. He turns away from me and starts walking and I can see that his ass is out. Right in front of the camera."
