What were the obstacles you faced at the time of
inception?
INFOLIFE was one of the early Healthcare software solution
Technology companies from Bangalore. Those days, Technology
acceptance in the Healthcare Industry was a real challenge. Added to
it, standardization was not adopted here in the Healthcare Industry.
Customization expectation was also high from most Healthcare
Institutions, this would add to the implementation complexity.
Even today Mid Size Hospitals don’t embrace Healthcare standards, due
to a lack of knowledge as well as the shortage of trained Manpower.
How do you see the future of health care?
The Healthcare Industry evolved significantly over the last 2 decades. From
the initial expectation of HMS (Hospital Management System) Software,
purely focusing on Billing software, it’s now evolved towards HIMS
(Hospital Information Management system) Software, Clinical automation
like Laboratory Information system, RIS-PACS (Radiology Information
system – PACS), EMR, EHR, IOT Integration etc.,
We now see Health care moving towards HIT (Healthcare Information
Technology).
In addition to the above, the Healthcare Industry is adopting newer
technologies including AI (Artificial Intelligence), Prescriptive Analytics,
Predictive Analytics, Chatbot automation, Integrated IOT Devices and many
more.
The Healthcare Industry is projected to grow Several Trillion US $ in the
next 5 years.
Why did you choose health care as a profession?
From childhood I was fascinated with the Healthcare industry, I took
Computer Science as my specialization in Engineering. Early in my career,
I got an opportunity to automate Patient Billing for leading Hospitals in
Bangalore. This intrigued me and thus began my journey into Healthcare
Information Technology.
Share about your journey from the commencement.
As an entrepreneur, like many companies, we had to manage with
limited funding, manage technology changes as the market evolved
and keep pace with it.
Major challenges of the Health care Technology is to keep pace
with technology upgrades and add on new requirements like
Healthcare Standards including SNOMED-CT (Systematized
Nomenclature of Medicine -- Clinical Terms), LOINC (Logical
Observation Identifiers Names and Codes, FHIR (Fast
Healthcare Interoperability Resources) for Interoperability etc.,

We are currently focusing on the incorporating the above
standards.
How do you manage the promotion of your
project over social media outreach and email
campaigns?
Our business promotion has a significant uptick from our
customer referrals. Monthly email campaigns based on our
product features has had very encouraging responses from
potential customers. We are also working on increasing
our social media outreach.
What do you think about the expansion of
INFOLIFE TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE
LIMITED?
INFOLIFE is currently focusing on Insurance driven Tele-
Consultation business model that enables INFOLIFE to
consolidate yet another business vertical. Simultaneously
we are focusing on Integrated IOT devices, enabling the
Nurses to capture vital data in a very efficient manner.
In addition to EWS (Early Warning Score), we are also
incorporating Critical Auto Vital alerts.
Give your opinion ‘The future of the Indian
health care sector?
The Indian health care sector is expected to have a big
change from the current way of functioning.
■ Provider: Private Hospitals will move to adopt certain
policy changes recommended by NDHM standards in
near future.
■ Patients: Patients will have centralised EHR (Electronic
Health Records) access for better and speedy access to
Medical records. Enables the Provider (Hospital) to
provide the right treatment protocol in an emergency.
■ Insurance:HealthInsurancesectorwillhaveasignificant
role in future for the better treatment process as well as
controls over healthcare frauds.

What is an electronic health record (EHR)
and how does it work?
A digital counterpart of a patient’s paper chart is called
an electronic health record (EHR). EHRs are patient-
centered, real-time records that make information

transgender (LGBT) rights in India have
progressed rapidly. However, Indian LGBT
residents continue to suffer societal and legal
challenges that non-LGBT citizens do not face. The
government has removed colonial-era regulations
that discriminated directly against homosexual
and transgender identities, as well as specifically
interpreting Article 15 of the Constitution to outlaw

waste disposal). This comprises waste collection,
transportation, treatment, and disposal, as well as waste

public daily. While municipalities, businesses, and
construction enterprises make up the majority of its
customers, residents are authorized to use the dump
in most situations. Landfills have long been the most
frequent way of organized garbage disposal, and they
continue to be so in many parts of the world.
 Incineration
Incineration is a waste disposal procedure that
involves combusting solid organic wastes to produce
residue and gaseous products. This procedure can
be used to dispose of both municipal solid waste
and wastewater treatment solid residue. Solid waste
quantities are reduced by 80 to 95 percent with this
method. The term “thermal treatment” is used to
describe incinerators and other high-temperature
waste treatment facilities. Waste is converted into
heat, gas, steam, and ash in incinerators. Individuals
and industry carry out incineration on a local and
large scale, respectively. Solid, liquid, and gaseous
waste are all disposed of in it. It is accepted as a viable
technique of disposing of certain hazardous wastes
(such as biological medical waste). Due to concerns
such as the production of gaseous pollutants,
including significant amounts of carbon dioxide,
incineration is a contentious waste disposal method.
Incineration is widespread in nations with limited
lands, such as Japan, because the facilities do not
require as much space as landfills. Facilities that burn
waste in a furnace or boiler to generate heat, steam, or
electricity are referred to as waste-to-energy (WtE) or
energy-from-waste (EfW). Incinerator combustion
isn’t always ideal, and there have been worries
about contaminants in incinerator stack gaseous
emissions. Some very persistent organic chemicals,
such as dioxins, furans, and PAHs, may be generated
and have major environmental repercussions, as well
as some heavy metals, such as mercury and lead, that
can be volatilized in the combustion process, have

Recycling
Recycling is a resource recovery technique that entails
collecting and reusing waste materials such as empty

products.
Also recyclable are PVC, LDPE, PP, and PS. Because
these objects are usually made of a single type of
material, recycling them into new products is extremely
simple. Complex products (such as computers and
electronic equipment) are more difficult to recycle since

Biological Reprocessing
Plant material, food scraps, and paper products are
examples of recoverable organic materials that can be
recovered using composting and digestive methods
to degrade the organic matter. The organic waste is
subsequently recycled as mulch or compost for use in
agriculture or landscaping. Furthermore, waste gas from
the process (such as methane) can be recovered and
used to generate power and heat (CHP/cogeneration),
resulting in increased efficiency. Composting and
digestion processes and technologies come in a variety
of forms. From modest home compost heaps to large-
scale industrial digestion of mixed residential waste,
they range in complexity. Biological decomposition
processes are divided into two categories: aerobic and
anaerobic. Hybrids of these two methods are used in
several methods. Anaerobic digestion of solid waste’s
organic portion is more environmentally friendly
than landfilling or incineration. The goal of biological
processing in waste management is to control and speed
up the natural process of organic matter degradation.
