Notas del editor
Note: Autione Destull De Tracy used the word “ideologie” in 1789 French Revolution. Ideologie is a French term for ideology.
Note: Pakistan Ideology evolved from religious ideology to a political ideology during the course of events which culminated in the establishment of All India Muslim League at Decca on December 30, 1906.
Note: With respect to Muslims of the Sub continent the crisis were the holocaust after the War of Independence (Mutiny)
of 1857 and social stress was the enforcement of Hindu Nationalism on Muslims. The ‘Ideology of United India’ no longer satisfied them about protection of Islamic Culture and Civilization in near future. There was a massive threat to the distinct identity of Muslims as Hindus were in numerical majority.
With respect to Pakistan Ideology: Motivating force was the protection of distinct identification of Muslim culture and civilization from Hindu domination. Islam was the cement binding force to the then scattered groups. A separate homeland was the joint goal. Interpretation of Past was the Muslims days of yore in the region and their fall , Present was the horrific conditions of Muslims after WOR 1857 and Vision for the Future was the struggle for a separate homeland.
Virtue is Knowledge(Idealism) of Plato: The crux of Plato’s philosophy lies in the statement that “Ideal is the Real” which then culminated in the idea that virtue is knowledge which means that there is an inherent ‘good’ of man for society and of society for man and the people who will rule the society must be men of knowledge because only the philosophical ruler can find means for the society to end up as a happy society and the society will only be happy if it attains the ‘good’ so it is a virtue to find the ‘good’ and only the men of knowledge (philosophers) are capable of finding the ‘good’ therefore the statement ‘virtue is knowledge’ is impeccable. The aforementioned ideology of Plato became the basis of all political philosophy. It was in fact the ideology of Plato’s ‘Dialectic Idealism’ which was later explained by Hegel and then inverted by Marx to ‘Dialectical Materialism’ which then became the basis for Russian Revolution.
etc……..
Pakistan Ideology or ideas for creation of a separate homeland ( Pakistan ) in the then Indian subcontinent owes much to the feeling of adherence of Muslims to their religious identity and distinct national image among the prevalent various groups.
Critical Analysis: All competent observers agree that after the holocaust(destruction) of 1857 the Indian Muslims came under a dark cloud of misery. It was perhaps natural for the British to turn their back on those who by religion were connected to the former rulers of India. However, coupled with the policies of repression by the government was the Muslims’ unwillingness to reconcile themselves to the changed circumstances. It was argued that to read English was forbidden by laws of Islam. Pride of race, bygone superiority, religious fears and a natural attachment to Islam were some of the critical factors which precluded the Muslims from accepting their new social position. Similarly, with the enforcement of Hindu Nationalism on Muslims it was quite natural that a reaction form Muslims will appear but fortunately the reaction spiritually emerged and evolved to an ideology of saving Muslim from the perpetual clutches of Hindu domination. In a nutshell, the biased and exploited schemes became a blissing in disguise for the Muslims of Sub continent. Because, have the Muslims not been pushed to the wall indiscriminately the shape of the Indian Sub continent would have evolved very differently.
"The Hindu Muslim dispute must be settled before the enforcements of any system or constitution. Until you do not give guarantee for the safeguard of the Muslim interests, until you do not win their (Muslims) co-operations , any constitution you enforce shall not last for even 24 hours.“ …….(1)
“Pakistan was created the day the first Indian National entered the fold of Islam”. “The Muslims are a nation by every right to establish their separate homeland . They can adopt any means to promote and protect their economic social , political and cultural interests.“…………………(2)
"The Mussalmans are not a minority. They are a nation by any definition of a nation .By all canons of International law we are a nation“ . “India is not a nation , nor a country. It is a Sub Continent of nationalities. Hindus and Muslims being the two major nations . The Hindus and Muslims belong to two different religions , Philosophies, social customs and literature. They neither intermarry nor interdine and they belong to two different civilization which are based mainly on conflicting ideas and conceptions. Their aspects on and of life are different. It is quite clear that Hindus and Muslims derive their inspiration from different sources of history.“………………………..(3)
"Pakistan does not only means freedom and independence but Muslims Ideology , which has to be preserved which has come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which we hope , others will share with us.“…………………………..(4)
"Hindus and Muslims through living in the same town and villages , had never been blended into one nation. They were always two separate entities."
