Leveraging your business addresses can unlock valuable insight moving you to contextualized knowledge, automation, and better decision-making at all levels. Yet many companies have work to do before they can use their business data to drive better decisions. To make sense of the volumes of business data, addresses provide a consistent and common thread to connect data across business processes.
Using our Geocode API for Snowflake, learn how clients are leveraging advanced analytics and enrichment solutions to:
· Simplify the complexity of location data and transform it into valuable insights
· Enrich data with thousands of attributes for better, more accurate analytical models, such as AI and ML technologies
· Enhance customer-facing and operational tasks to create more meaningful and timely customer interactions
· Add context to business data by linking IDs to pre-processed enrichment datasets for countries around the world, such as points of interest, property details, demographics, boundaries (neighborhoods, postal codes, flood zones), and more

Now the focus on data has been increasing in recent decades.
If you think back to around 2000, large structured powerful data warehouses existed and were producing hundreds of reports and could store loads of data, but they were expensive and rigid. Tasks such as adding new data or created a new report was a time-consuming IT project.
2010 – 2015 – Big Data emerged and technologies such as Hadoop came on the scene. An advantage was that organizations could store information on commodity servers, leverage the computing power from those resources, and process huge amounts of data together and ask complex questions, but to get value, specialized skills were still needed, and Big Data still required largely on-premises systems to grow and scale.
So then the capabilities moved to the cloud and vendors like Snowflake and Databricks appeared. They separated storage and compute resources and simplified the interface so that people who knew SQL could use them. To date, this was most cost-effective and simplified way to share data across an organization.
But the data integrity challenge remains – if you look at a report and something is wrong, it calls into question all the information and you don’t have that level of confidence to move forward.
That is where data integrity comes in….
how can you build data you can trust

Mailable, deliverable - Confirming the accuracy of postal (per country) information
Transforming location information, like an address, into location coordinates & vice versa (Reverse Geo) - PHYSICAL LOCATION & not all Addresses have a physical location
Address Autocomplete, [also known as: Typeahead, Interactive, Predict, Autocomplete, Geocomplete] - Performs search to retrieve list of places by input text and location vicinity. Address Autocomplete takes free form text as input. It could be a part of an address. Location could be provided either as latitude/longitude or as country ISO code. It returns consolidated list of addresses based on the input text.

Add something about costs
More confidence that the modeled results are driving better decision-making
Confident that communications are going to the right people, increasing customer satisfaction
Lower costs due to reduced time spent tracking down duplicate records problems

This must be a familiar scenario for the Snowflake users or Data Engineers(in a broader aspect), where one can submit a query within a Snowflake worksheet.
To append Geo Addressing columns, the user must call an external function which then will use the snowflake API integration.
Calling an API is equivalent to going to a restaurant and looking at the menu and ordering the food of your choice.
With the same analogy, after selecting an appropriate API for their use case such as standardizing, geocoding, parsing an address, or appending tax attributes…sky is the limit here. A user will get enriched and valuable attributes just by running simple SQL queries.
In the background, which is a black box for our users, the snowflake will send the batches of addresses using HTTP POST to Precisely cloud, which is deployed on a k8s cluster enabled with autoscaling and load balancer, the address batch will then be resolved using the available computing power and our secret algorithms.
Once the response is ready it will then be sent to the snowflake.
Using this enormous power to compute, the user can match any level of performance criteria. Moreover, the snowflake Async integration layer, it makes it easy for the address batch packets to be in a dynamic queue and not get lost in transition.
Here, I would like to make a correction in my topic and name it “Precisely Cloud APIs”
On your screen, you see a simple snowflake marketplace snapshot but this is where the user can add 10k more attributes to one single address by doing simple joins.
Our geocoder will output a unique and persistent ID named Precisely ID. Using data from the snowflake marketplace user can append the relevant data such as Risk, Property Attributes, Historical and dynamic weather attributes to make a valuable decision.
