Asian Bulle n: U.S. dollar trades almost flat ahead of Fed Chair Powell’s Tes mony, Asian Stock markets in green, gold hovers around $1,790 mark
Key Headlines:
• New Zealand Westpac Consumer Sen ment stands at 107.1 vs 105.2 previous release.
• The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a bid by health insurance companies to seek a full reimbursement from the Federal Government under a
provision of the Obamacare law aimed at encouraging them to offer medical coverage to uninsured Americans – Reuters.
• Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said in prepared tes mony for a congressional hearing on Tuesday - The U.S. economy con nues to show "sustained
improvement" from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and ongoing job market gains, but infla on has "increased notably in recent months.
• Wall Street ended sharply higher on Monday, with the Dow comple ng its strongest session in over three months as investors piled back into energy and
other sectors expected to outperform as the economy rebounds from the pandemic – Reuters.
• Bitcoin spiked down sharply in previous session.
