Chooses Technology Center CEO to
Serve on Judges Panel
Enterprising college students from Greensboro area
colleges to pitch ideas for a chance to win $1000 in
annual business idea competition.
GREENSBORO, NC, November 19, 2013 – The North
Carolina Entrepreneur Center (NCEC) at the University
of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) will host its
annual ―2 Minutes to Win It‖ business idea competition
finals at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, Nov 19 at the Joint Center
for Nanoscience and Engineering on UNCG‘s south
campus.
Technology Centers, LLP‗s CEO, William ―Bill‖ Brown,
will serve on the panel of entrepreneur judges who will
hear pitches from the top 20 finalists in the competition.
―I‘ve said this before, but it bears repeating— there are a
lot of bright minds in this area. The more we can nurture
them to think entrepreneurially, encourage them to stay
in this area and give their resources back to the
community, the stronger we‘ll be as a region,‖ says
Brown.
2. Eight-nine entries for original business ideas
were submitted by students from eight
Greensboro area colleges and universities
including Bennett College, Elon University,
Greensboro College, Guilford College,
Guilford Technical Community College, High
Point University, North Carolina A&T State
University and UNCG.
The contest is part of Global
Entrepreneurship Week, which is touted as
the world‘s largest celebration of the
innovators and job creators who launch
startups that bring ideas to life, drive
economic growth and expand human
welfare. Contest prizes include a $1000 cash
prize for first place, $500 for second place,
$250 for third place and $250 for best
