Summary 406.1-420 MHz
• Following various discussion there appears to be demand for spectrum in this
frequency range from a number of industry players
– Potential demand may be higher here due to the UK UHF2 band plan
• Potential for increased sharing between private sector and MOD to be assessed
– Taking account of technical sharing studies for coexistence with existing systems
• Ofcom (Vaughan John) setting up a group to look at this area
– To consider the nature of demand (service and technology neutral)
• There are still detailed process issues to be resolved
