Marketing Your RSSA Designation
Marketing your designation is an important element to help clients and prospects understand the importance of
Social Security. Social Security is the cornerstone of retirement planning because nearly everyone will be entitled to
a benefit. Many Americans are uneducated about the Social Security rules that surround their benefits and the
various options they have.

1. Have an elevator pitch, memorize it, and don’t be afraid to use it!
Example: I help those near retirement or already retired develop strategies that
yield hundreds of thousands of dollars more in Social Security benefits by
following a personalized plan. For a very reasonable cost, you can understand
your options, timing, and the financial benefits to create a strategy that’s best
for you and your loved ones.
2. Provide a no-obligation consultation: Create a loose script to explain your services,
process, and cost. Lead the discussion and try to focus their questions on the services
you provide and not specific questions about their benefits. Here are a few basics
that a plan would include:

3. Postal Mail Marketing: Direct mail has a high return on investment, on average about
30%, and is a great complement to your digital marketing strategy. Use our graphics and
content to create postcards, letters, or other interesting communications to grab your target
market's attention. You can track your results by directing prospects and past clients to a
specific landing page, email address or phone number.

helpful when communicating to clients. The templates were designed to be a guide for your
correspondence with current and/or prospective clients. These templates can be used as
emails or as physical postal mail. That is up to you! Our suggestion is to copy and paste the
text of the email template. You can copy the words exactly or modify them to meet the
needs of your business and your clients. Please be sure to re-read, enter information where
appropriate, and edit and/or format as needed.

8. Provide free advice: Answering questions is always a good idea. It builds
confidence in your expertise and helps build your network and reach. If you don’t
