Todd Haughey Raises School’s
Academic Ranking

Possessing a bachelor’s degree in education
from Indiana University and a master’s
degree in educational leadership from
Argosy University, Todd Haughey committed
himself to academic excellence in his career
as a principal and assistant principal. As
principal of Charter School Associates
Advantage Academy, Todd Haughey helped
increase the school’s rating from a D to an A.

Schools are ranked according to how they
serve the needs of all the students in a school
system, not just the students who plan to
attend college. Therefore, to attain a higher
ranking, schools must surpass certain
statistical expectations for tests in such core
subjects as math and reading.

Students must also perform well on state
exams, surpassing the average test scores
for a state. Ratings are also based on
whether or not the curriculum sufficiently
prepares a student for a higher education, all
which is determined by the college readiness
index.
