It is a method of measuring the value of a section of the stock market.
Ex: BSE, NSE, NASDAQ

Know about Bulls and Bears
Bull market - A financial market of a group of securities in
which prices are rising or are expected to rise
Bear market - A market condition in which the prices of
securities are falling, and widespread pessimism causes the
negative sentiment to be self-sustaining.
A bull thrusts its horns up into the air while a bear swipes its paws down.
These actions are metaphors for the movement of a market. If the trend is up,
it's a bull market. If the trend is down, it's a bear market.

4. Secret - Using Support and Resistance level
Support - The price level which, historically, a stock has had difficulty falling
below. It is thought of as the level at which a lot of buyers tend to enter the
stock.

Resistance - An area of resistance or resistance level indicates that the
stock or index is finding it difficult to break through it, and may head lower in
the near term.
