Human Resource in Just 5 Ways
A wrong decision can cost you in a multiple ways. Similarly, a wrong hire in your
company can lead to your failure and affect your growth multifold. Thus, it is very
important for every startup in this universe to make sure that his hiring strategy is
on the right way. If your hiring strategy would be excellent, you will be able to
attract a pool of talent for sure.
According to a survey, it was revealed that most of the organizations do not really
understand the difference between talent and the right talent. This is one of the
reasons that such organizations rely on HR consultants services experts who have
the vision of identifying a gem out of a pool of candidates. They actually
understand the difference quite well. However, the organizations must also
follow some tips, such as the ones below:
1. Define the Brand Clearly
To hire the right people on board, it is important to define your brand clearly and
precisely. If you will be unclear about the expectations of the brand, the chances
of hiring a wrong person will increase. So, you must be aware about the skills
required in a person to fulfill the company’s goal.
2. Move Ahead Of Interviews
Almost 90% of the startups use only interviews for selecting the candidate across
all the levels of management. For recruiting the right talent, one must use some
innovative ways to assess the expertise of a candidate. You can give some short
term assignments to the job seekers, as a part of the selection process.
3. Look for Flexible Employees
If you are startup, you must look for flexible employees who can manage different
job roles easily, as in the initial stage it would be difficult for you to design clear
cut JDs. A flexible employee with creativity and ability can take your startup to
next level.

4. Consider the Whole Package
While hiring a candidate, make sure that you consider him as a whole package,
i.e. not just judge him on his skills; rather see to it whether he/she would be able
to adjust in the organization culture that you have. He might be eligible enough
for the job, but he might not be suitable for the company’s culture.
5. Fulfill Startup Requirements
A startup usually has certain requirements, such as long hours’ working, pressure
situation, workload etc. these situations and requirements arise as the company is
in the starting stage. So, you must always go for a candidate who can fulfill such
requirements and comfortable for such challenges.
So, if you are a startup and do not wish to hamper the process of growth, then
make sure that your strategy for hiring the candidates is exceptionally great and
never lets you regret for the decisions.
