The third Korea Proptech Forum Meet-Up day was held in Seoul. The Korea Proptech Forum was founded in order to map out the direction of the rapidly changing environment of real estate technology convergence and lead Korea’s own proptech growth and development.

  1. 1. 2019.07.25 Korea Proptech Forum Meet-Up Day Seoul, Sparkplus City Hall venue. Korea Proptech Forum held its third official Meet-up Day. Formed at the end of 2018 KPF is an organization with purposes of exploring and understanding the future of Korean Proptech landscape, creating an ecosystem of real estate companies and tech startups, and leading the growth and development of Korean real estate market. Since the inaugural meeting in October 2018 which was joined by 26 companies, the KPF membership expanded to 102 companies representing different industry sectors such as real estate, IT & Tech, finance, and academia. KPF’s Chairman Ahn (Ahn Sung-woo Founder & CEO, ZigBang) opened the Meet-up Day by extending his greeting to members and shared the exciting news of KPF getting its certificate of incorporation as of July 23rd, 2019. KPF’s Executive Secretary Ms. Cho then introduced KPF’s research initiative that mapped the landscape of KPF’s member companies. The member accumulatively raised over USD$470M and employ nearly 2000 people. She then encouraged members to participate at the RecoTech, a Nordic event for Proptech, Real estate, Architecture & Construction that will take place on November 20th, 2019 in Helsinki.   2. 2. The meet-up’s program included an introduction to KPF’s past activities and plans going forward. This was followed by “Value of Space” presentation by Director Park Sung-sik from Chestertons and a session on “UK, US Proptech investment” delivered by Executive Director of Woomi Construction, Kim Byung-kwon. In between the session new members had a chance to introduce themselves at “99’s speech” segment. The ones who took the stage at “99’s speech” were: • KB Investment Co., Ltd. (KBIC) is one of Korea’s leading investment firms of venture capital and private equity funds. • RBDK – Korean Real Estate Developer • Hanmi Global - Leading Program, Project Management/ Construction Management company • IGIS TechUP – Proptech startup incubator sponsored by IGIS Asset Management and fostered by Futureplay. • HDC – A major Korean real estate development & construction company. • Hwasung Construction Developer The Meet-up Days is a regular program at KPF and will be held once every several months.   3. 3. 2019.07.26-27 Korea Proptech Forum participated in Korea Real Estate trends show 2019 at COEX, Korea. The 17 member companies joined i.e. Zigbang, Urbanbase, Share house Woozoo and others. There were also Korean governmental entities and major development/construction companies gave information on their current property development projects. Foreign development projects from Asian countries were also introduced.
