“Durban provides an integrated climate smart, low
carbon transport system for passenger and freight.”
• Objective 1: Durban’s spatial planning is integrated with
transport planning to reduce the need to travel;
• Objective 2: All Durban’s transport users have access to
safe, affordable, carbon efficient and climate resilient
transportation;
• Objective 3: Greenhouse gases from transport in Durban
are minimised and the energy efficiency of transport is
improved.
