I spoke to the very first group of incoming medical students when the curriculum changed to problem based learning in 1986. It is pleasure to now stand before the first group of incoming medical students in the newly constructed Sorrell College of Medicine. It is a beautiful building with awesome technology. You are fortunate indeed! Let me first begin this morning with a warm welcome on behalf of the McGoogan Library of Medicine. We are an information rich library which has many resources and services available to you. However, I can safely assume some of you may wonder what is the role of the library in this three day orientation?
