Design graduate also studied at the prestigious Central Saint Martin’s and Cordwainer’s Shoe Making

Calvin Klein helped Wevly hone her design skills which she now shares with students at Parsons where
she teaches Fashion Accessories Design. For her namesake collection, Wevly infuses exotic leathers
like lizard and sting ray into her designs and even though she admits that this is not a new concept, it’s a
model that she is taking to the next level. She boosts, “I think the texture of the skin against metal is very
cool.”
Wevly pictures her pieces adorned by women who are poised and self-assured, slightly edgy but still
sophisticated. It’s not uncharacteristic that Wevly embodies all these qualities herself and in her designs.
