- Starting a green field project of tooth paste, cosmetics and foods manufacturing and packaging industry in
Nigeria
- A project completed in ETHIOPIA to establish a cosmetics and tooth paste plant
− Installation, commissioning and start-up of complete tooth paste plant , from the stage of negotiation of
the machinery to the final output of the plant,
− Successful installation, commissioning and startup of cream/lotion plant in a record time of 3 months in
Tanzania,
− Certificate of commendation from CEO of NORDEN machinery limited, (the largest and the best ma-
chine manufacturer of tube filling and packing machine in the world) for getting the best output at the
lowest rejection level, at Kalamar, Sweden.
− Several commendation letters from the management of Chemi and Cotex Ind. ltd. (CCIL) for surpassing
performance targets before the due date,
− Major and pivotal role in CCIL to make it the largest FMCG industry in east Africa from no. 5 position
since I joined 8 years ago,
− Led the production team to transform CCIL into the largest toothpaste manufacturer in East Africa, with
80% of market share in TANZANIA, and an exporter of its product into other East African countries and
South Africa. The only country in the world where a local player is surpassing the giants like Colgate and
Unilever with such a huge margin.
− On my watch, CCIL grew its production from 100 MT of toothpaste to 450 MT in eight years.
− On my watch, CCIL’s products won East Africa SUPERBRAND award for SIX consecutive years since
2007.
− Developed Indigenous Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to adhere to the local government regulations, re-
duce company cost and complying operational health and environmental requirements of the community.
− Undertook scores of KAIZENS to improve man and machine efficiency.
− On my watch, the first in India to launch CORE and SHEATH format in tooth paste, for Unilever India
Limited,
− Led the production team to produce 20T of shampoo/day from 8T/day, at Mul group of companies,
