2. This design was created by
one of our group members,
the main image is
duplicated into different
shade of colours, however
the gradient background
causes the overall image to
appear dim. We decided
later to use the this
duplicated style and image
onto our poster, we also
decided to remove the
background and insert a
new background in our
poster.
3. Our second design was this
grey and white version of
our artist name in a sketch
style font in the middle with
different font styles of the
album name surrounding
the artist name. This was a
creative idea from one of
our group member but it
was slightly dull in the form
of colours, it would be a
great inlay, so in the end
that is what we decided to
do.
4. This colourful front cover
was for our third
design, created by me. I
used a gradient fill to cover
the background and made a
gradient overlay on a city
landscape which was
positioned behind the artist
to give it that urban feel.
The reason why I used a lot
of colours in this design is
because of the name of our
album; “True Colours” , So I
thought by blending in
rainbow colours would
make the album seem more
interesting, However there
was not enough visual
relationship between the
background and the artist
and was not used.
5. The fourth design included
more computer graphic
images rather than real life
photos, although the size
and of the main artist is
disproportionate to the city
background, the concept
and idea of a greyscale
background with colours
emitting from the artist was
all agreed by our group as
being a clever idea to make
an attractive front cover.
6. The is the fifth edition of our
front cover which was created by
me. Much similar to the fourth
draft cover except that I had used
a different main image and with
real landscape buildings rather
than a cartoon version. The title
of the album, “True Colours” is
customised in rainbow colours,
the effect of this is a vibrant and
highly attractive title that stands
out to the black and white
background of the houses. The
main artist is however is shown
to have colours, this relates to
the idea of having light and
colours being emitted from the
artist, as recommended by our
team members.
