Electrical Technology Introduction Electrical Technology Introduction This post is the first article in Electrical Technology Tutorial. Here we will talk about The Power System components and importance. The Electrical Technology one of the most important courses any Electrician School should teach for the Electricians. Electricity became one of the important factors of the economic development in any country. The Electrical Energy has made a shorter working day, better transportation facilities, and a better living. You Can Read These Also:  Electrician School Ultimate Guide.  How To Apprentice Program For Electricians.  Maintenance Or Construction Electrician.  Electrician School Training Programs.  The Electrician's Guide To Career Map. The Importance Of Electrical Energy Energy can be found in many forms like heat, light, or electrical energy. In these days, it is possible to convert electrical energy to any form of energy. This feature gives the electrical energy an importance in the recent days. Electrical Energy became one of the most important forms of Energy due to the following reasons: Easy To Control: It is easy to turn On or Off the appliances, and easy to control. Cheap: The Electrical energy is the cheapest form of energy forms except Nuclear energy. That, make the electrical energy economical to use. Clean: Electrical Energy is not polluting energy. here, electrical energy which in transmission lines and been used in homes, not the generation of electricity. Flexible:
Electrical Energy can be transmitted using conductors. Electrical Energy can be converted to any form. That, made Electrical Energy flexible more than any form of energy. The Generation Of Electrical Energy The Generation Of Electrical Energy Defined As: Converting Any Source Of Energy Into Electrical Energy. Energy can be found in different forms from different natural sources like chemical energy of fuels, nuclear energy, and pressure head of water. All the natural sources of energy can be converted to electrical energy using the right arrangement and apparatus. The Generator is connected with the prime mover. The prime mover is driven by energy of different natural sources such as chemical energy in fuel or the wind energy. The Sources Of Energy As we said before, Electrical Energy can be generated by converting natural sources to electrical energy. These natural sources of Energy are : The Sun The Primary Source Of Energy Is Sun. The sun energy can be used in many ways, one of them is generating energy using Photo Voltaic Cells, the other way is using reflectors to focus the heat radiated by sun to raise steam to generate electrical energy. But, this way has many disadvantages : Not economical. Can not used in nights. Needs large area of space. The Wind This way of generating electricity can be used in places where wind flows with good speed for considerable length of time. The wind used to spin the blades which will spin the turbine to generate electricity. You should know this way has many disadvantages like variable output, small quantities of energy, and unreliable source of energy. The Water Water can be used to move turbines to generate electricity. This method can be found where water is available in quantities like rivers and seas. To take the benefit of water, dams are built to reserve water and use it generate electrical energy.
The Fuels The main source of energy these days is Fossil Fuels like Coal, Oil, And Natural gas. These fuels are burning to give heat to move the turbine to generate electrical energy. The Nuclear Energy A large amount of heat energy is generated by the fission of any radioactive materials. It is known that 1 kg of radioactive material is equal to the energy produced by 4500 tonnes of Coal.
