1. RegenerEQ – a Clinical Trial in Standardbred Horses
OBJECTIVE • To test the efficacy of RegenerEQ on horses with stomach ulcers
MATERIALS AND
METHODS
• 10 Standardbred horses with stomach ulcers verified by Scoping were chosen for this study.
These horses were scoped before treatment; approximately 2 weeks into treatment and at the
end of30 days aftertreatment began. RegenerEQ was given to the horses at a dose of15ml
twice daily. The RegenerEQ was syringed directly into the mouth to ensure that each horse
was ingesting the full dose.
Results:
At the end of the 14 days, fourof the 10 horses examined had ulcers which were healed. Typical photographs are shown
in Figures 1-4. At the end of30 days,8of the 10 horses showed healed ulcers (Figures 5 and 6). The other 2 horses still
had ulcers which were not healed. One ofthese 2 horses with the unhealed ulcers was medicated with phenylbutazone for
unrelated injuries sustained during the course ofthe study.
Conclusions:
Based on photographic evidence RegenerEQ is a usefulproduct in the treatment of stomach ulcers in horses.
