King Henry VIII was born in 1491 and became King of England in 1509 after the deaths of his brother Arthur and father Henry VII. He had six wives, two of whom he had executed, and established the Church of England after separating from the Catholic Church due to his desire for a male heir. King Henry VIII died in 1547 after ruling England for 38 years and leaving behind three children - Edward, Elizabeth, and Mary.
