2. TALENT:
As a Nation, the citizens of India are
known to be the most talented in this
world, far exceeding the Western
countries.
Be it the field of Sciences, Arts,
Economics or Entertainment; Indians
have the capabilities of being the best in
the world & also set high standards for
others.
3. CULTURE
The history of India goes back almost
4,500 years – as a planned
civilization. (Harappa & Mohenjo
daro).
The scriptures of Manu, Vedas &
Puranas allow the estimated history of
India to be as old as 10, 000 years –
truly a stupendous period in time.
4. EFFECT OF HISTORY ON OUR PSYCHE
Indians are proud as individuals; taking
pride in the heroes of India from Lord
Rama & Lord Krishna through the
millenniums of times of Chhatrapati Shivaji
Maharaj, Tipu Sultan, Maharaja Ranjit
Singh, Rani Laximinai of Jhansi to the
modern heroes – Lal-Bal-Pal, Bhagat
Singh-Sukhdev-Rajguru.....
Just to name a few !
5. YET – THE SLAVE MENTALITY PERSISTS
Regardless of the rich & varied history
of the Indian sub-continent; the people
of India have not grown out of the slave
mentality inducted into us by the British.
The prudish “victorian mentality”
controls the life of most Indian across all
social strata; and in essence it can be
described as the „Tie- culture‟. Cricket
and raping the English language are
non-ending activities.
6. EDUCATED SERFS TO THE WEST
Indian across the country educate
themselves and acquire vast amounts of
knowledge, talents & experience with one
singular aim – to be the serfs of the
Western countries.
Being courageous & bold; to utilize the
talents inside us for personal benefit – this
is unknown to most Indians. Even with the
revolution of the info-tech; Indians remain
talented servants of the West.
7. INSECURITIES CONTROL INDIANS
Indians grow up inheriting the insecurities
of their parents & transfer these undiluted
to our next generations.
We strive to achieve 100% results in
school, 75% in College and 35% in our
work.
Prayers to the Heavenly powers for
success far exceed the efforts to imbibe
knowledge. Insecurity in school days &
complacency as adults defines an average
Indian.
8. GOD IS THE FALL GUY
The comfort zone of most Indians is the
area of failure. We are excellent at
repeating the mundane as instructed by
the seniors and deadly scared of
independent thinking. The idea of not
conforming to the known culture is more
scary than the idea of being dead.
And since we do not, ever; accept
responsibility – failure is always due to bad
luck, fault of others, unlucky configurations
of Stars, or just the non-approval of God to
the failed activity.
9. THE AWE OF THE WHITE SKIN
Indians are always in awe of the white
skinned people. For some strange
reason, even the most talented &
educated people become docile and
slavish in the presence of the most
stupidest, uneducated, untalented white
person. (eg: The Congress Party of
India).
The huge sales of “fairness crèmes”
indicates the desires to be “white” rather
than the Indian brown that most of us are
by reason of genes.
10. THE CURRENT MINDSET
Enough of the criticism. We all know what
we are. We are this ways and we cannot
change. The fates control our destiny.
Solitude is our shelter. Involvement and
interactions with our community is fraught
with dangers. We are a People divided by
caste, creed & religion for hundreds of
years. Why should we change?
Why should there be any change? Is
change needed?
11. LIVING IN DENIAL
Indians are constantly impressed by the
planned & regulated life styles of modern
cities around the world. Yet; we never work
towards changing our cities to be clean,
well-planned or properly regulated….
Because we do not want to be disciplined.
Discipline, rules, the Law – that’s always
for others. Each of us thinks that we are
above the law, that we are of some
importance; while actually being of no
importance.
12. SO… WHAT’S THE POINT OF THESE SLIDES?
If you are reading this presentation, and
are not agitated by now; then you are an
Indian destined for failure. You will be a
NIP- “Not important person”.
Find your backbone, build up
courage, utilize your talents to the
max. Be the Master - not the slave,
explore new thoughts, rewrite the
parameters, set new standards. Live
your Life because you only have this
life; and we all die only once.
