A man from Adairsville, Georgia won $25,000 playing an instant lottery ticket. After scratching his first two tickets with no winnings, his third ticket revealed the top prize amount. The man was shaking with astonishment in the store and shared his excitement with the clerks. To show his appreciation, the winner planned to give $500 of his winnings to each of the clerks who helped him. The man said that "everyone needs a little help sometimes" and intends to treat himself and save the rest of the $25,000 prize money.

Adairsville man scores $25K prize; shares with clerks
ATLANTA – The third time was indeed the charm for an Adairsville man playing a Georgia
Lottery instant game. After scratching his first and second ticket, he discovered that his third
ticket had a $25,000 Double Match top prize.
The winner, George Hall of Adairsville, purchased his ticket June 27 with extra money he had
after purchasing a Coke.
Favorite Market #3600, 6434 Joe Frank Harris Parkway N.W. in Adairsville sold the lucky
ticket.
He was astonished at his winnings.
“I scratched the ticket in the store, and I started shaking,” he said.
The store clerk noticed his gestures and immediately asked if he was OK.
“I told them, ‘Yeah, I’m fine,’ ” Hall responded.
He informed the clerks that he would give them $500 each.
The clerks began crying.
“Everyone needs a little help sometimes,” said Hall, 35.
The winner plans to treat himself and save the remainder of his winnings.
Hall claimed his prize June 29 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Dalton.
