2. What can we do? Offer awareness of technology trends to show what is happening and to show the consequences. We can offer positive alternatives. Use our collective talents to help revise the trends. We can educate our community. Develop ways to help our community and congregations take advantage of our resources.

3. How? Organize a group of members who have computer skills and knowledge. A possible name could be “The Mount Zion Computer Education and Awareness Guild.” (Technology Ministry). We can offer hands-on computer instruction. We need members who are willing to devote time on a regular scheduled basis to help others learn and practice new software programs geared towards job opportunities or job promotions. We can offer help at the beginner’s level: * ABC’s of computer use. * How to logon and off, load software and understand the layout of your computer screen. * Familiarize people with shortcuts, pitfalls, viruses, creating and naming files. * Using the Internet in areas such as research, fun, E-mail and Web pages.

5. YOUR PURPOSE Your purpose was ordained by the destiny of mankind. Your talents were determined at birth. Your accomplishments will be determined by your environment. Your destiny will be determined by what you accomplish.

One such example is the bashing of Multi-Level Marketing by said blacks when it is one of the many viable ways and means to economic independence as a group. Everyone does well if executed "faithfully." Having come from roots based in the black church Faith is something we have genetically coded into us, right? Watch and see how many of us support or even listen to my radio show? The blueprint has been created and the road-map looms before each of us. many have the keys in their pockets and do not know it. 10. Community Involvement Sound Transit Bid Process 206-398-5000 401 S. Jackson ST Seattle, WA Har-V Promotions, Inc. will go through the bid process and get qualified. This will get me added to the Sound Transit database. We will offer assistance to Black small businesses with the qualifying and bidding. We feel that many small businesses may not believe they can qualify and over look a good source of income. The process is quite demanding and has to be completed correctly. We will take all of the mystery out of the process and encourage more businesses to apply. Even though they may not be qualified for some of the larger bids, we can show them how to become a sub-contractor on the larger bids. The database will contact everyone and we will be able to notify other small businesses that have not qualified.

11. Computer Training Center Our goal is to develop a model Computer Training Center to be developed and located in each of the major black churches. Once we have a working model, we can apply for grants for the center to be located in more churches. CTC Model Definition: A place where members and the community can come and get familiar with computers, software and job qualifications. Method: Recruit qualified individuals to man the center Solicit software from manufacturers. Purchase if necessary Obtain computers from Seattle Surplus and/or Boeing Surplus. Recruit qualified instructors from congregations, community and local institutions. Church requirements: Provide a secure room and security. Record keeping Publicize Computer Center and class schedules. Solicit volunteers from congregation and community.

15. Abstract Before we apply for grants, we should develop a model center and demonstrate its success. I know that Seattle Surplus will provide used computers and may have printers. They require some maintenance. I have a contact that works at The Boeing Co in Everett, WA that says she can get us access to Boeing Surplus. Her son lives next door to a Microsoft executive and can assist with software donations. I’m sure we can find qualified instructors for several of the classes. If we present this to the congregation we may get donations: Expense funds Computers Software Volunteers Grant writer A 501c3 Designation is required for a grant
