A practical guide for training a large number of people for Scrum
We thought the best way to understand scrum would be to experience it. 
So we asked all the people involved in the project to come to a 2 hour session 
In one instance we had 70 people in the room
Scrum 
A 4 acts play 
First, we had ~40 minutes of Agile and Scrum Overview

And now, it’s time to practice!
We wanted the team to build a Plasteline Zoo!

Calculating amount of required Plasteline
Preparing the materials…
Preparing the kanban board for visualizing the work

Rules of the game 
•Two 15 minutes long iterations 
•A Product Owner is allocated to each team 
•Each team nominates a Scrum Master: 
•Updates the board 
•Attends the mid iteration scrum of scrum 
•Each team commits to scope at start of the iteration 
•Retrospective and Demo at end of iteration
Planning… 
At the first few seconds people were looking for the team leaders. 
Since none were available they started to self manage
Building… 
Immediate feedback was provided by the product owners. People were assisting each other
Investing in quality 
The team made the commitment so they cared about the results
Integrating to one big creation 
People from all teams were helping each other
Done! 
The people were energized and motivated. 
We saw that clear scope, self management and quick feedback are key success factors 
Can we make our day to day look like this?
