technologies from the process
of constructing this product?

2. Technologies used
• Looking back on my Project I have used a
range of different technologies to help me
achieve our successful project. The main
equipment I have used is the Apple Mac,
Canon 60D camera and a Tripod. Technologies
I've used on my computer consist of Adobe
Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe
Premier and the internet. I also used a site
called video copilot to help me create my logo
on after effects.

3. Tripod
• A tripod is a portable three-legged frame,
used to support and stabilize the camera.
• Before we started this project I didn’t really
know what a tripod was but now have full
confidence in my skills to us this product.
• We used the tripod to help us with our project
quite a lot, it helped us record our time lapse
and other various scenes within our film
product.

4. Canon 60D
• The Canon 60D is a digital single lens reflex
camera.
• Before the project started the canon 60d merely
was seen as a normal everyday camera for me,
however having fully developed my skills on how
to use this device I am very comfortable with this.
• We filmed our whole project using this marvelous
camera. I kept all the settings on the camera the
same to have a nice flow of shots, without
ruining my theme of a gritty Teen Drama.

5. Adobe Premier Pro
• Adobe Premier is a timeline-based video editing software application.
• Adobe Premier was the heart of our project as we had used this for all
our editing. I watched tutorials of how to use this software on
YouTube so I could maximise my potential to gain as many marks.
• I used various tools within Premier Pro such as the colour correction,
the presets and the video effects tools etc.. These tools all have helped
us to produce this wonderful project.
• The most challenging moment of our editing was trying to make the
split screen. Initially I lined the 2 video shots side by side, then again
this didn't’t look the way we wished as it was very cramped together.
• In light of this we changed it and put on shot under the other and the
results and change looks clearly better so we decided to go for this
format.
• Other than that little challenge everything else was fairly straight
forward.

6. Adobe After Effects
• After Effects is a digital motion graphics, visual effects and
compositing software package.
• I used After Effects to make my logo. To get me started I used video
co-pilot tutorials to familiarise myself with the programme. Then I
used a tutorial called ‘The Ring’ this taught me to put an outer glow
and other amazing effects . I then used a reflection effect to create a
3d tile rotation. In order to have been able to do this, I had to
download a preset known as 3d orbit tool. This allowed me to add
the finishing touches and make my logo look amazing.
