Our Proposed site is located at Lok nayak
hospital near Delhi gate metro station Delhi-
110054.
The total area of Building spanning is about
84,840 sq metres.
The building has two tower which have target
of total floor is 22, in on each tower.
This building is proposed to have total
number of Beds to be available is 1500.
This building is composite structure of Mild
Steel and RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete).
D-wall is known as Diaphragm wall, it is designed to retain soils
during the construction of underground structure.
It helps to control the movement of ground during construction.
It is intended to take up high vertical loads from above ground
structures.
It is play important role in Active earth pressure as well as in passive
earth pressure.
The lower and very important part of any structure is foundations.
And after doing soil testing depend upon bearing capacity of soil
Engineer decide to construct Raft foundation.
Raft foundations also known as Mat foundations, it is a type of
combined footing that covers the entire area and supports all the
wall and columns.
This foundations is use because soil on that location is found to be
sandy , clay, silt and hard stone.
This structure is made up with RCC
(Reinforced Cement concrete) and
Mild Steel. Thatswhy also known
composite structure.
RCC is good in taking Compressive
as well as Tensile Stress But also in
Shear Stress thatswhy it is built
End to end of building, and middle
structure is of MS.
Engineer decides this to built
building as soon as possible. And
reduce time of delay, Because Mild
steel structure can be early as
compare to RCC structure.
Mild steel cannot be come into contact of moisture, water, and fire.
 To prevent corrosion and fire damaged, a layer is provide on beam
and column of mild steel, fire resistance material is used.
This material is very costly and become hard after drying. It is apply
like a paint with the help of compressor machine. Which is apply this
paint with high pressure.
Column and beam is connected by bolted joint. This joint are many
advantage such as :-
•They can easy to install, inspect, and maintain.
•They also allow for flexibility and adjustability in design and erection.
•Skill labourer not mandatory.
•Grade of this Nutt and bolt is 10.9s
•Due to high grade of bolt, this connection is strong, durable etc.
Parts of Bolted connection
A bolt is a metal rod for fastenings objects together it consist of :-
•Thread of outer side
•Head on its top
•Nut
•Washer
This complete nut bolt connection called HDFG (High Strength
Friction Grip).
Inner dia of nutt is known as Nominal dia
Where Bolt dia is known as Crest dia.
Scaffolding, also called scaffold or stagging, use for to do masonry work,
Brick work, Plastering etc.
There are different type of scaffolding depend upon material which type of
work such as Aluminium scaffolding, Bamboo scaffolding, Trestle scaffolding
etc.
Aluminium Scaffolding were used at out site project.
Vertical rod of scaffolding known as PROP.
Whereas horizontal is known as LEDGER
Prop and ledger is tied using a clip.
MASONRY WORK
For partition work three type of brick use such as :-
First class brick
AAC block
CND block
First Class Brick
This brick is used in this project for HALF BRICK wall
And for ONE BRICK wall.
We know that two type of bond use such as English bond
and Flemish bond.
But mostly English bond were used.
AAC BLOCK
AAC stand for Autoclaved Aerated concrete.
This is widely use in this building due to following
advantages:-
•Lightweight
•Precast
•Foam concrete
•No need to curing
C&D waste Block
•C&D waste (construction and Demolition waste) block is made up
of wood ,steel, concrete, gypsum, plaster, metal etc.
•This block is used to reduce construction waste to safe our
environment.
•Their size is large than Brick. So more volume is cover in width and
heght.
…….To be continued.
