3. The market for dogs’ health care is growing
○ More people around the globe are getting dogs
○ Dog owners are spending more on their pets
○ Dogs are living longer and older dogs require more care
○ Spending per vet visit is growing

4. New fatal risks to pets’ health emerge
○ More and more urban dog owners move closer to nature... and to infection transmitting parasites
○ Dog owners more frequently travel with their pets to other countries... exposing them to non
endemic infections and bringing these infections back to home country
○ Areas of habitat of transmitting parasites are growing and their activity
periods are becoming longer due to global warming
○ Exotic infections are harder to diagnose
○ There are no 100% proof protection or vaccines against them
○ Zoonotic risks emerge

5. Probability of getting weak or sick puppy is raising
○ Responsible breeders are faced with growing competition from purely profit driven enterprises -
puppy mills and backyard breeders
○ Puppy mills and backyard breeders are cutting costs on food and care for females and puppies, they
skip important health checks and tests
○ Puppy mills and backyard breeders pretend to be responsible breeders but mark down the price
○ Responsible breeders do not have enough proof to differentiate
at the moment of sale because health problems, which originate
from poor breeding will only become evident with time, but at
the moment of sale all puppies are cute

6. At the same time number of vet visits is declining
○ Dog owners don’t see any reason in routine vet visits and go to
the vet only in emergency situations
○ Owners get information about their dog’s health issues from
Internet, visiting specific websites and asking advice from
other owners in kennel forums
○ Most dog owners are saving money and time on vet visits
because they trust information from alternative sources

7. Our solution
○ Consumer-friendly device that can be used without any special training
○ It will allow to quickly and easily perform reliable blood tests at home
○ It will comprise a combination of vitally important tests
○ Usage model will not replace neither will compete with the
current system of veterinary services
○ It will supplement the current system by increasing the efficiency
and value of veterinary medicine

8. Dog’s Life Monitor will help responsible
breeders, owners and vets
○ Breeders will conduct puppy’s key health parameters check at the very moment of handover to new
owners
○ Owners will inexpensively monitor health of their dog and follow targeted recommendations
throughout its entire life
○ Vets will stay connected with owners to provide them with routine recommendations and to get
critical information in advance to be better prepared for emergency visit
○ Dog food manufactures will monitor the connection between their food and dogs’ condition to make
adequate improvements

9. At the core is an integrated blood testing device
○ Reusable reader will perform all blood collection, testing, interpretation and transmission functions according to protocol
eliminating human mistake at all stages
○ Durable cartridge comprising lateral flow strip and lancet comes sealed in hermetic package and connects to reader in one click
○ User application for smartphone pared with reader enables the user to track test results, upload them to a central database for
scientific research and share them with vet and peers
○ Device is inexpensive, robust and easy to use by entirely inexperienced person
