HUMAN VS TECHNOLOGY

  1. 1. Human vs technology
  2. 2. HUMAN LIFE WITHOUT TECHNOLOGY • Having recently moved country, I have been relying upon my phone as my sole means of communication with the world. You can imagine my panic, therefore, when I found myself cut off from this world of social media shortly after my arrival in France. Although I was reunited with network signal after a mere week, this experience has led me to question whether our modern-day reliance on technology is becoming unhealthy. • I often forget that androids and smartphones are very much a novel invention. Writing in light of the recent release of the iphone6, it is hard to imagine that our parents would have been considered lucky to have a fully functioning television just forty years ago. Nowadays, • , to the increasing detriment of traditional forms of communication, we rely on our phones for everything. Our androids act as calculators, clocks, cameras, calendars and music players, whilst traditional forms such as the letter are fast becoming a thing of the past. Similarly, our once regular trips to the high street are slowly being replaced by the wonders of online shopping, whilst the Kindle, for example, has become a popular alternative to the book. I can’t help but feel a little nostalgic about the latter especially; as
  3. 3.  Additionally, I now notice more and more that the smartphone is replacing face-to-face communication. I regularly see groups of people in restaurants, for example, paying more attention to their phones than to each other. I can’t be the only person that thinks there is something inherently worrying about this; are we beginning to choose the company of technology over the company of other human beings?  Whilst I myself viewed my recent disconnection from social media negatively at first, I have to admit that I increasingly began to feel an underlying sense of relief. I was finally being forced to enjoy my own company and, dare I say it, there was something intrinsically nice about being alone.  Will we live without technology? I think that in this moment the technology it's very important because help us discover new tools, medicament, things that make us live better. For example new equipment in the industry, that reduces failures and makes work safer.
  4. 4. The Impact of Technology: Technology, mainly computers and video games, have made a vast difference in our society. Many years ago there were not very many forms of technology that existed. People often used type writers, went, dancing, did puzzle, and played board games for entertainment. Nowadays, the use of computers has become extremely popular. If an individual is not using a computer for some form on entertainment, they are most likely using it for something along the lines of school or work. Technology has gone from being a convenient tool to being a bad impact on society. Not only is it insulting the intelligence of many young adults, but it is also taking away from one’s social behavior. Some people, however, disagree and think technology has made a
  5. 5. A world without technology would force people to actually socialize more frequently (mainly referring to adolescents). ... Technology has made life so convenient for humans that being without it is a very scary thought. Imagine not having a cell phone and a person you care deeply about was kidnapped or they ran away.
  6. 6. The Role Of Modern Technology In Human Lives. In Simple words, the collection of machines, tools and other things to facilitate a specific purpose refers to as Technology. ... Technology has had a major influence in the development of civilization and the society What is the role of technology in
  7. 7. While technology has facilitated the ease of access for humans, it has also made them largely dependent on the machines and software. In the 2008 Hollywood movie ‘Wanted’, the protagonist works for a secret society that trains assassins that work on the orders of a fabric loom. This interestingly throws the light on the concept of a Machine-made Deity, which can be one of the extreme consequences of technology. Talking about the ills of modern technology, the various nuclear explosions, increase in pollution and global warming, productions of more and more weapons of mass destruction have led several people to doubt and question the necessity of advanced technology in our lives.
  8. 8. Is technology is a helpful in human life?1- Discoveries in all industries Technological advances allow people to find a more efficient way of doing things, and these processes deliver positive results. For example, education has made great strides in technological advances in computers. Students are able to learn on a global scale without the need to leave their classrooms. 2- Cost Efficiency Through technology it is possible to improve processes and execute new ways of carrying out tasks. Thanks to this, machines can produce the same results as humans - or even better results - in certain industries. This results in cost savings for business owners, since it allows them to invest these resources in the growth of other areas of the business, which in turn has a positive effect on the economy in general.
  9. 9. 3- Easy access to information Access to relevant information anytime, anywhere has become commonplace. This has been possible thanks to modern technologies such as broadband internet. Much information is making published and attached on online sites; many websites have original content that can be used for research or entertainment. 4- Better communication It can be said that communication is like water for life: we can not develop without communication. Modern technology has developed many advanced technology tools in the field of communication. These tools include e-mail, cell phones, video conferencing, instant messaging applications and social networking applications. 5- Improvements in the way of traveling Modern transportation technologies make it very easy to travel over long distances. Transport is an important element in the lives of humans and the business world. In the past, it used to be expensive and slow to travel across long distances. They can currently cover 10 miles away in just a few minutes or hours, using airplanes or trains.
  10. 10. Problems with technology in human life1- Weapons of Mass Destruction Modern technology has been the great ally in the increase and permanence of many wars and conflicts. Technology helps in the manufacture of modern war weapons that require testing. So, when these weapons reach the hands of criminals, they can use them for selfish reasons causing great harm to society. 2- Social isolation Social isolation is increasing; people are spending more time playing video games, learning how to use modern technologies, using social networks and surfing the Internet, ignoring their real lives. Technology has replaced the old way of interacting. For example, if a user can easily interact with 100 friends online, he may not feel the need to go out and make friends in real life. Unfortunately, later on this leads to loneliness and depression.
  11. 11. 3- Dependency As a society advances more in the technological field, people begin to rely more on computers and other forms of technology for their daily existence. This means that when a machine breaks down or has a breakdown, humans can become almost useless until the problem is solved. 4 - Lower value of human workers As technology advances in industries and jobs, human workers have less value. Machines automate processes and can do the work of ten people with a single computer; companies may not need to employ so many people to do a job. 5- Reduction of creativity and change in reasoning Increased dependence on modern tools, such as calculators, has reduced creativity. This can be clearly seen in both young people and adults. Generally they can not perform a simple mathematical equation without the help of a calculator.
