Our Story
3. Caffé Capri is a brand steeped in Italian tradition, with roots established over 25 years
ago in the coffee roasting business. These three generations of experience are backed by
our company’s passionate coffee professionals, supplying gourmet coffees while
delivering unsurpassed service and support.
Caffé Capri remains one of the few roasters to still use traditional, time tested Italian
techniques and methods for roasting our coffees.
Unforgettable taste is what makes our coffee so unique, and consistency is what makes
our brand so desirable. We have maintained the same Master Roaster for over 22 years,
so our coffees have the same passion today as they have since we first started.
Our traditional artisan recipes have been expertly refined and roasted to please any
palate.

4. Our Coffee
Each varietal of coffee that we utilize is roasted, then skillfully blended to
bring out the unique flavor characteristics that are found in each distinct
blend; a process known as “post-blending.” These varietals have their own
specific properties based on the climatic conditions of the coffee growing
region, so our roasters must use their understanding and appreciation of
nature’s impact on our green beans in order to create our masterful blends.
With these fine green beans and our skilled roasters’ years of experience and
knowledge, Caffé Capri is able to produce the perfect coffee every time.
We work directly with farmers and distributors around the world, building on
years of strong relationships to ensure a high-quality, reliable, and consistent
supply. By choosing to purchase green coffee from a multitude of farmers, we are
able to source the best beans possible, and also help small family farmers
maintain viable coffee-growing operations.
5. Our Blends
The art of post-blending requires a tremendous amount of research, knowledge and
experience; we have refined this skill to a science over the last 3 generations. This
process ensures the highest level of consistency in our products, even as nature
changes the basic composition of our green coffee beans.

produce the highest quality coffees possible, implementing our core competencies of extensive
roasting experience and repeatable production consistency.

7. Sergio is from Naples, Italy and has 22 years of experience mastering the truly
artisan methods of roasting coffees using traditional Italian methods.

13. Our New Facility
After 28 years in Seattle, we have moved our Roasting Plant twenty minutes South to
Federal Way, WA. Our new facility boasts 40,000 Square Feet of combined
production/warehouse and office space – over twice our old plant’s size. We are ready to
handle our continued market expansion with this great new space.

15. Awards
In 1996, a competition in Seattle pitted Puget Sound's "micro roasters" against some of the nation’s
top coffee roasters for a "blind tasting" at McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant.
Participating roasters included: Austin Chase Coffee, Boyds Coffee, Caffé Appassionato, Lighthouse
Roaster, Pegasus Coffee, Seattle's Best Coffee, Starbuck’s, Torrefazione Italia and Tully's Coffee.
Out of twelve awards, our coffees won five! We were asked not to compete again, but instead to
judge in future tastings!
