One of the most important questions to ask is whether you audience is male or female. This is an
important question because I wanted to know what both genders would like in a music magazine.
However I did not ask as many men so my results aren't entirely fair. If I had the opportunity to
ask people again I would ask more men so I get a range of ideas and reviews from both genders.

By asking people their age I knew what type of target audience that my magazine will be aimed
at. The bulk of the people that I asked were 15-20 years old therefore my results are going to be
biased as I gave the majority of my questioners to a younger audience. However I asked no
under fourteen year olds because some of the content in my magazine may be inappropriate to
anybody under fourteen.

I thought it was appropriate to ask people who their favourite bands are so I know what type of
artists to feature in my magazine. I received a wide range of results however the three most
popular results are: “Arctic Monkeys”, “Maroon 5” and “The 1975”. This shows me that a lot of my
audience like rock/indie boy bands. There fore I know that including these type of artists would be
very popular towards my target audience.

In my questionnaire I wanted to ask what magazines people already read so I could take some
inspiration. The most popular were “Q” and “NME” so therefore I am going to include some of the
features and ideas that these two magazines include.
Also in my questionnaire I asked if anyone had any dislikes about their chosen magazines. Some of
the feedback I received I will make sure that I don’t include in my magazine. Some of the
complaints were: too many adverts, not enough features and also need better shapes and layout.

I believe that this is one of the most important questions to ask because then you will know what to
price your magazine and whether people would buy it at that price. The most popular price was
£3.00-£3.50 but closely followed by £2.00-£2.50. Therefore my magazine will range between these
two prices as it seems most popular to my target audience. I believe that £2.50 or £3.00 will be a
suitable price for my magazine.

this question you get a variety of choices and what should be most important on the front of your
magazine. According to the results have famous people on the front of a magazine is what is
most attractive and why people would buy the magazines.
I will make sure to definitely include a large image of the artist on the front page of my magazine
as this is what people find most attractive and why people buy the magazine.

I thought it would be interesting to ask if people prefer to read about just one type of genre

variety of genres included in my magazine to it reaches out to a wider audience.
