Introduction
The E-Ball concept
pc is a sphere
shaped pc which is
the smallest design
among all the
laptops and
desktops designed
by Apostol
Tnokovski.
E ball technology
The start of E - Ball
This computer has all the feature like a
traditional computer, elements like
keyboard, mouse, large screen display etc..
E-Ball is designed to be placed on two
stands, opens by simultaneously pressing and
holding the two buttons located on each
side. E Ball concept pc don't have any
external display unit.
It comes packed with a projected keyboard
and display.
E ball technology
Size of E - Ball
• E-Ball is very small, it is having only 6 inch
diameter sphere.
• It is having 120×120mm motherboard.
Elements of E - Ball
• Virtual keyboard
• Wireless optical mouse
• LCD projector
• Web cam
• Paper holder
• Dual core processor
• 2GB RAM
• 350-500GB hard drive
• Modem
Elements continue..
• LAN & WAN card
• Two 50 watt Speakers
• Integrated graphics and sound card
E ball technology
Virtual Keyboard
• A virtual keyboard is a projection keyboard
that is projected and touched on any flat
surface.
• Virtual keyboard basically uses the
principle of sensor technology and
artificial intelligence to let users work on
any surface.
• User operates by typing on or within a
wireless or optical -detectable surface or
area rather than by depressing physical
keys.
E ball technology
ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES
ADVANTAGES:-
o Portability.
o Accuracy.
o Speed of text entry
o Lack of need for flat or large typing
surface.
o Ability to minimize the risk for repetitive
strain injuries.
DISADVANTAGES:-
o It is very costly ranging from 150 to 200
dollars.
o The room in which the projected keyboard
is used should not be very bright.
o Virtual keyboard is hard to get used to.
PROJECTORS
E-BALL can use either of the two
projectors –
1. LCD projector
2. DLP projector
LCD Projectors
ADVANTAGES:-
• LCD is generally more light efficient.
• LCD projectors can project bright, vivid
images with a low output lamp.
• LCD trends to produce a sharper image.
DISADVANTAGES:-
• LCD projectors bulky as there are more
internal components.
• Dead pixels.
• LCD competes extremely well when high
light output is required.
DLP Projectors
ADVANTAGES
• Higher contrast.
• Reduced pixilation.
• Since the DLP light engine consists of a
single chip rather than three LCD panels,
DLP projectors tend to be more compact.
DISADVANTAGES
• Rainbow effect.
• High cost.
Software Interface
The software interface of E-Ball concept
pc is highly stylized with icons that can be
remembered easily that support all type of
windows operating system.
E-Ball concept pc work very easy while you
are making video presentations, listening
music watching large screen movies, and
chatting on the net.
E ball technology
If there is no wall?
• When we are working in an open place we
can make use of a paper sheet as a screen.
• Paper sheet holder is placed at the back
panel of this computer.
• The holder can be opened by pressing it in
the lower part
E ball technology
Working
• Press and hold the power button for 5 sec.
• Adjust the LCD projector.
• Detach the optical mouse.
• Activate the virtual keyboard.
• Ready to use.
E ball technology
E ball technology
ADVANTAGES
• Portable.
• Large memory.
• Useful for making video presentation.
• Support user defined keyboard layouts.
• Efficient.
• Easy to use.
• Good speed.
• More secure than other computer.
DISADVANTAGES
• Normal operating systems cannot work in
these computers.
• Cost of E-BALL is very high.
• It is difficult to understand if any problem
occurs in hardware part.
• Plane surface required for using the
keyboard.
CONCLUSION
• As the year passes, the COMPUTER SIZE
is becoming SMALLER.
• Today’s technology is at its peak point
beyond what we could ever imagine.
