Process & Methodologies: Their existing processes were completely onsite focused development and with no
offshore experience.
Requirements gathering: The business demanded frequent changes to the software application
requirements.

B2B e-commerce portal for Bed Bath & Beyond
Bed Bath & Beyond aims at putting its entire business of buying & selling promotional products on the Web. It
would allow employees to execute their business functions such as Preparation and Management of Quotes,
Orders, Purchase Orders and Invoices; Order Confirmation/Tracking and Supplier Product Data Entry. The portal
can be accessed either through the Intranet (e.g. directly by an employee from the CI Intranet) or through the
Internet (e.g. clients search and select products, prepare quotes, place orders, view and approve proofs, and
track shipments all in real-time). Partners such as Suppliers/ Customers can access the portal and undertake their
part of the transaction online. The portal also integrates online with third-party service providers such as Payment
Gateways and Shippers.
B2B e-commerce solution for Abatix, Inc.
Being diversely located through the US, Abatix wanted to leverage the convenience of the Internet to reach its
customers. Not only did it require an e-commerce storefront to display 50,000+ items & 3rd party catalogs in
thousands of categories and sub-navigations but also needed an admin piece that could help its customers
manage their custom catalogs. In addition, it required a contract-pricing engine that was capable of providing
varying subsidized prices for each item to employees of specific customers.
To add to this challenge, Abatix had unique shopping cart requirements; custom lists, maintaining order history,
generating supporting documents & invoices, customizable content pages, multiple search engines on all
application pieces and batch uploading of catalogs from their preferred vendors.
Web-based Online Application Processing for Athene Inc.
This project was concerned with providing information on PMP certification programs through Athene’s existing
web site and facilitates Online Application Processing - including acceptance of online payment through secured
transactions. A new user is asked to provide Personal Information and select a password for registration. A
registered user, after correctly supplying the Login data, can directly go to the Demographic Information form
and fill up the details or edit his/her previously existing details. The candidate’s eligibility and examination fees
will be based on business rules. After duly filling up or editing the Experience Verification form, the candidate is
asked to upload a copy of current resume. The candidate proceeds to next form only after proper validation and
verification of the supplied information. Finally the candidate is required to provide the credit card information to
complete the application process and make the payment.

The Challenges Process & Methodologies: Their existing processes were completely onsite focused development and with no offshore experience. Requirements gathering: The business demanded frequent changes to the software application requirements. Change Control: Highly dynamic in nature based on constant changes from its business users. New to Outsourcing: The client had no experience with external service providers and almost all of their projects were executed in-house Infrastructure: The infrastructure was equipped for onsite execution of projects and located mainly at one center Aequor’s Solution Aequor’s Project Manager and team, carried out an initial “As is” study and conducting reviews with client managers proposed a “To do” document. Our few projects are: B2B e-commerce portal for Bed Bath & Beyond Bed Bath & Beyond aims at putting its entire business of buying & selling promotional products on the Web. It would allow employees to execute their business functions such as Preparation and Management of Quotes, Orders, Purchase Orders and Invoices; Order Confirmation/Tracking and Supplier Product Data Entry. The portal can be accessed either through the Intranet (e.g. directly by an employee from the CI Intranet) or through the Internet (e.g. clients search and select products, prepare quotes, place orders, view and approve proofs, and track shipments all in real-time). Partners such as Suppliers/ Customers can access the portal and undertake their part of the transaction online. The portal also integrates online with third-party service providers such as Payment Gateways and Shippers. B2B e-commerce solution for Abatix, Inc. Being diversely located through the US, Abatix wanted to leverage the convenience of the Internet to reach its customers. Not only did it require an e-commerce storefront to display 50,000+ items & 3rd party catalogs in thousands of categories and sub-navigations but also needed an admin piece that could help its customers manage their custom catalogs. In addition, it required a contract-pricing engine that was capable of providing varying subsidized prices for each item to employees of specific customers. To add to this challenge, Abatix had unique shopping cart requirements; custom lists, maintaining order history, generating supporting documents & invoices, customizable content pages, multiple search engines on all application pieces and batch uploading of catalogs from their preferred vendors. Web-based Online Application Processing for Athene Inc. This project was concerned with providing information on PMP certification programs through Athene’s existing web site and facilitates Online Application Processing - including acceptance of online payment through secured transactions. A new user is asked to provide Personal Information and select a password for registration. A registered user, after correctly supplying the Login data, can directly go to the Demographic Information form and fill up the details or edit his/her previously existing details. The candidate’s eligibility and examination fees will be based on business rules. After duly filling up or editing the Experience Verification form, the candidate is asked to upload a copy of current resume. The candidate proceeds to next form only after proper validation and verification of the supplied information.
