1. EV 3- WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM AUDIENCE FEEDBACK?
From my audience feedback I have learned that both my final product and ancillary tasks were well
made and eye catching, however there were also some negative feedbacks which I could have
prevented in my media products.
After my draft version of my short film I decided to gain some insight onto what others think of the
base of my film and see how they would want to improve it. I took their feedback into consideration
and changed some aspects of my film from the draft stage to the final stage. Some of these changes
included the mum being changed to the aunt. I changed this as according to the audience members
they didn’t like the actor NujinBaybasin playing the role of the mother as she did not look the part.
They gave some suggestions into changed her to the older sister or the aunty. I therefore chose to
change her character to the aunt as she looked more of an aunt than a mother; this was then agreed
with by my audience. Another aspect I learned from audience feedback was that I needed to change
some areas of the setting/ environment to one that works well with the script. Such as the according
to my audience the park scene could have been in a more mysterious scene or maybe just at night
when it is darker.
I decided to take on board my audiences feedback from my draft version as If I had changed aspects
myself I could have been very bias in the decision making. I changed many aspects as evident from
my draft to my final piece. All these positive and negative points I gained from the audience
feedback has helped me to achieve the best film I could make which may not have been possible
without the audience feedback.
