ARM Design Competition

Main Objectives
Use ARM technology to create or enhance a creative an
energy efficient, commercially viable system
Three broad classifications of projects. Use a development
platform to:
Perform an autonomous function
Perform a particular function along with a communication medium to
report or update data and/or events, possibly remote-controlled
Interact with an app running on a tablet or smart-phone

Initial Rules
Teams of 2 - 5 students
Submit proposals by March 27th

Why is it a good idea?
What is the development timeline and design phases?
What do you need in terms of ARM-based processors, additional hardware and
software development tools?
Competition ends one week before Imagine RIT in May 2014, and projects are displayed at
ImagineRIT 2014
Development tools will be sponsored depending on participating partners
Can count as RIT multidisciplinary design project, or some other course project
requirement!!
