Parents want to
 have their say
SUMMARY
 Parents opinion – to reduce the workload on
 teachers
 Increasement of work for teachers would affect
 their focus on teaching
 Teachers should have administrative assistants
 - to take care of paper works
 - due to extra workload in making sure every
 students take up one sports
 - one helper for 5 teachers
 Teachers must not be to engrossed in giving
  tuition classes
 Teachers who were absent in class fail to deliver
  the lesson for the day
 - students do not have someone to refer to
 It was not necessary for teachers to conduct
  extra classes for all students
 - focus on weaker students
 MOE – PIBG role should not only be focused on
  the growth of students academic
 - strengthen the cooperation between school
  administrative
 Educational transformation – to return the
sport achievement in school and motivates a
  healthy competition among the students
  - increase the understanding
 - “esprit de corp”
 “ The cooperative relationship with
  colleagues”
 - excel the achievement among the teachers
  especially among new teachers
 MOE have the guidelines about teachers
involvement with extra work including tuition
 Based on the letter “Surat Pekeliling
 Perkhidmatan Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia
Bil.1 Tahun 2006” – aims to give detail
 guidelines about management and condition
especially the extra part time work as a tuition
 teacher
 Enrichment activities is used to identify
 smart/talented students apart from enhancing
 their talent and creativity
ANALYSIS
 Parents /publics opinion on education
 system/school management should be
 considered by MOE
Because their opinion some times will make
sense and helpful to solve certain problems
 regarding students
For example: one helper for 5 teachers, will
 reduce the teachers workload
Teachers can pay more attention to prepare
the LP and to the weaker students in that
 particular class
They also no need to stress up themselves
 with administrative works
 - create a conducive teaching learning
environment for both teachers and students
 Why we need to send our students for the
tuition classes while the same subject has
 been thought in schools?
 Is that because the teachers at school are not
 well prepared/ skilled?
Is that because they have to manage their
 administrative works with teaching learning
 process?
So if there is a helper for teacher to take care
of paper works, then the teachers can focus
on students achievements in both academic
 and curriculum activities
Can give extra attention to weaker students
So no need to send for tuition/extra classes
and burden the students with education
system (exam, test, pass, high score)
People who be the PIBG committee members
shod know their responsibility towards the
 schools education system
How to help weaker students, arrange
meeting with parents, teachers and school
administrative, and way to overcome students
 discipline problems
“One student one sport”- if only focus on
 academic, students will get bored
 - involving in sport activities will build up
students stamina, increase their activeness in
academic and also be a relief
Teaching moral values( helping each
 other, friendship, teamwork, leadership)
“The cooperative relationship with
colleagues” policy – create positive peer and
 accelerate the achievement of objectives
 among new teachers especially
Teachers cannot do tuition services for
personal interest or for extra income
They should have the intention to help weaker
 student in their academic
Enrichment and recovery process are very
important in KBSR and KBSM curriculum
Develop/ polish the students talent
COMMENTS
Parents should be involved in making any
 transformation regarding the school’s system
 including the administrative system.
The workload of teachers will somehow effect
 the students education .
It is vital for the PIBG and the school
administration to join together and gain a
mutual understanding in order to excel the
 school’s achievement.
Many parents do not agree with some of the
system practiced in schools. This because
there is not much cooperation and
  communication between the education
  administrators, teachers and the parents.
- parents are not aware of the reason for the
  system which is being practiced
- education administrators are not aware of the
difficulties faced by the teachers due to the
  implementation of the new system
Remedial classes and enrichment classes are a
very good approach to intensify the students
 performance in education.
Teachers should be monitored closely to avoid
occurrence of any problems and also to make
sure they are fulfilling their responsibilities as
 a teacher.
The growth of students personality should be
given equal emphasis as much as it is given on
 their academics achievement.
PROBLEM &
 SOLUTION
PROBLEM SOLUTION
 Teachers who were absent in  Teachers should prepare
class fail to deliver the lesson materials for the lessons that
can be used by their students
- the students were unable to while they are not around.
catch up
- students have to memorize - the lesson must be able to
and understand a lot of things guide the students so that they
on their own when their can do without the teachers
teachers are not around - this can help them to learn
- do not have someone to refer although the teacher is not
to around
 It is not necessary for the  Focus more on the weaker
teachers to conduct extra students
classes for all students
 Less sport achievement  Education
in schools transformation – students
                         should be active in sport
                         (at least one sport)

                          - to increase sport
                          achievement in schools
                          - to increase healthy
                          competition among
                          students
                          - to strengthen ties
                          between the students
