2. What is EuroGeographics?
• A not-for profit international
association under Belgium law
(AISBL)
• 56 national mapping, land
registry and cadastral agencies
in 45 European Countries
• Working to bring interoperable
European geospatial reference
data for the benefit of society
• A distributed head-office of 10
people
3. The European Location
Framework is a technical
infrastructure which delivers
authoritative, interoperable,
cross-border geospatial
reference data for analysing
and understanding
information connected to
places and features

26. Example of the progress
Emergency Response Agreement
• Need to access available reference data from member states for
the GMES Emergency Reponse Service
• Agreement signed with EEA
• EuroGeographics acts as a first point of contact
• A network of contacts to be agreed with members for data
provision
• Target to be able to provide geospatial reference data so that
GMES emergency response maps may be provided withing 24-
48 hours from activation
• GMES emergency service covers 39 EEA countries

Editor's Notes
Constantly innovating to meet EU institutions and civil society’s needs. All NSDI’s need registers and indexes to access the rich information they contain. Names is one such index and for this we have the EuroGeoNames service. We understand that the cadastral parcel is another key index as is recognised in its position in Annex I of INSPIRE. This year we combined data from Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia to reveal the issues associated with combining national cadastral data into a pan-European database. Next year we plan to develop this further.
So let’s look briefly as the fully operational prototype which ESDIN delivered. This is an early prototype of the EuroGeoCloud
Topographic Information –coming here from our pan-European 1:250,000 scale EuroRegionalMap product
Quite some detail
But in the project areas Cadastral parcels are being served live across the internet. This is a distributed database architecture and it is working!
Working with you because working together we are stronger
