Solution Strategic partnerships: Strategic partnerships are formed for gaining strategic advantage from other strategic partners in the alliance. Every business follows the course of actions determined in the strategy. The strategy is formulated to achieve the high level goals of a business. Strategic partnerships are formed in order to gain synergy. A business is synergized as it gains the support of other business concerns for mutual benefits. For instance two or more business units coordinate together and making an alliance with each other for the sake of giving each other advantages like cost, technique, resources etc. reflects synergy gained. Thus, it can be classified as transactional, tactical information sharing, or strategic in nature..

  • 1. Do you agree that supply chain collaboration can be classified as transactional, tactical information sharing, or strategic in nature? Why? Solution Strategic partnerships: Strategic partnerships are formed for gaining strategic advantage from other strategic partners in the alliance. Every business follows the course of actions determined in the strategy. The strategy is formulated to achieve the high level goals of a business. Strategic partnerships are formed in order to gain synergy. A business is synergized as it gains the support of other business concerns for mutual benefits. For instance two or more business units coordinate together and making an alliance with each other for the sake of giving each other advantages like cost, technique, resources etc. reflects synergy gained. Thus, it can be classified as transactional, tactical information sharing, or strategic in nature.
