The document discusses the importance of usability in website design. It defines usability as how easily users can accomplish tasks on a website. Poor usability can lead users to leave websites quickly if they are difficult to navigate, cluttered, or fail to clearly explain what the site offers. As a result, websites with usability issues may see high bounce rates, low conversion rates, and less traffic and search engine optimization leads over time. The document provides a checklist for general usability considerations and examples of usable and unusable website page designs.
