PIP objectives with respect to the EFSI
1. Improve the Broadband service in the municipality and bring Fiber Optic
connections to Vielha.
2. Improve the Transportation Infrastruture as the inter country border
crossing and the Pyrenean connection (N-230 and C-28).
3. Further develop education, investigation, culture and innovation as
integral values. Citizens with more participation, more opinions and more
implication.
4. Creation of work programs in I+D and in citizen participation.
5. Develop and improve Renewable Energies and Energetic Efficiency.
6. Develop and improve digitalitzation and its application to the
improvement of public service and business competitveness. For better
inter-connection.
7. Initiate the Culture of Innovation in the region and transfer its application
to the business, social and public sectors.
8. Return of the Educated Residents to the territory. At present, the majority
of young people with university educations can not return to the region due
to lack of opportunities. Educated youth within a more just society with
more opportunities.
9. Creation of quality job opportunites both in education requirement and
duration.
10. Position Vielha as an intelligent rural destination. The “smart city”
technology will be key in every sector.

12. Acheive 1€/3€: for every 1 € of public investment the community will have
a 3€ return in the economic and social sectors.
13. Acheive “Full Employment” in the next 5 years in Vielha e Mijaran.
14. Nurture community and municipality, local territorial equilibrium and a
territory of opportunities and public services for everyone.
15. Develop new sectors of economic development based on technology in
Tourism, Culture, Energy, Nature, Global Change, Commerce, Industry and
others.
16. Improve living conditions to reduce social inequality
17. Develop and promote the Economic Internationalization of Vielha and
establish systems for its promotion.
