Other parts of the UK have yet to see the knock-on effects of recent growth in Lon- don and the South East. Glasgow and Newcastle are among the handful of cities where property prices remain at or lower than 2008 levels. The gap between asking and selling prices indicate a chan- ge in vendor/ buyer dynamics. Currently standing at 10% in Central London, this gap shows there are fewer buyers - which is therefore making increased demands on sellers. This jour- ney of price discovery looks set to continue across the UK. Glasgow and Newcastle are among the handful of cities where property prices remain at or lower than 2008 levels.
